Assassin’s Creed Shadows The Tea Ceremony Walkthrough

The Tea Ceremony is the 13th main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Tea Ceremony main mission.

• Requirement: Complete the quests Searching Sakai, Dress for Success, and The Perfect Gift
• Recommended Level: 8
• Reward: 1000 EXP
• Quest Description: Naoe goes undercover to Imai Sokyu’s tea ceremony, mixing with Sakai’s elite to close in on her target.

Return to Imai Sokun

Grab this quest from the Objective Board under the Onryo group just below The Golden Teppo.

Go back to Imai Sokun’s house and speak to him.

This presents you with a dialogue choice:

• [The tea ceremony is a spiritual experience.]
• [It’s a place to make contacts.]

The outcome makes no difference. Choose whichever you wish.

Talk to the guests

Start by talking to the guest just outside the house to the left.

This presents you with a dialogue choice:

• [My name is Shizuka.]
• [My name is Sanuki.]
• [My name is Shigure.]

For all three conversations, you get asked your name. For all three, it doesn’t matter whether you choose the same name you chose in previous quests.

• [I had a good teacher.]
• [I know the son well.]

This lady flexes social status on you no matter what choices you make. So, the outcome is always the same.

Move further in to speak with an older woman. She also asks you your name.

• [My name is Shizuka.]
• [My name is Sanuki.]
• [My name is Shigure.]

Then she presents you with another option:

• [I’m friends with Master Sokyu.]
• [I have contracts with the Imai.]

No matter which option you choose, the older woman laughs at you.

Move on to the third woman northeast of the older woman. As mentioned before, she also asks your name.

• [My name is Shizuka.]
• [My name is Sanuki.]
• [My name is Shigure.]

Then another option comes up:

• [Of course I know you.]
• [I’m new to Sakai.]

This leads to another option:

• [I didn’t say where I was from.]
• [I’m from Nagasaki.]

Join the group

Line yourself up along with the other three women you spoke to.

• [Bow head.]
• [Bow Halfway.]
• [Bow deeply.]

Imai Sokyu responds positively to [Bow halfway.]. Regardless, you progress no matter which you choose.

• [Turn bowl left twice.]
• [Turn bowl right twice.]
• [Do not turn bowl.]

Imai Sokyu responds positively to [Turn bowl right twice.] Like the first choice, the scene continues on no matter which you choose.

Now you need to decide which of the women killed Nagato.

• [Confront Otama]
• [Confront Wakasa]

Wakasa is the woman who killed Nagato. If you confronted Otama, then you end up chasing down Otama and killing her. You still need to go find and kill Wakasa in the next quest, “Defensive Position“.

If you confront Wakasa, you automatically move into the quest “Drive the Point Home.”
