Final Fantasy 7 (VII) Calling All Frogs Walkthrough

February 28, 2024 by Archavia Leave a Comment

Calling All Frogs is a side quest in Final Fantasy 7 (VII) Rebirth. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Calling All Frogs Side Mission (Odd Job). It’s also known as the Frogmaster’s Request. It requires you to help some kids with a ribbiting predicament.

Calling All Frogs becomes available at the Under Junon Community Noticeboard after completing the “Friends Together Again” Main Objective.

Side Quest: Calling All Frogs
Chapter:
 4
Area:
Under Junon – Frog Gully (available from Under Junon Community Noticeboard)
Quest Giver: The Frogmaster
Requirement: Available after completing the “Friends Together Again” Main Objective
Reward: Access to Leapfrog minigame, Tifa Relationship Strengthened, 10 Party EXP, Player EXP (scaled to your level)
Mission Info: Ribbit ribbit, ribbit ribbit ribbit? Ribbit! Ribbit ribbit. Ribbit ribbit ribbit, ribbit!

Objectives:

  • Defend the Children
  • Report to Finn

Starting Location: Calling All Frogs (The Frogmaster’s Request)

You can accept the Odd Job from the Community Noticeboard in Under Junon, or you can go directly to the quest giver at Frog Gully in Under Junon.

Defend the Children

You will have to fight some Ignilisks and Capparwires, but there’s a catch: you’re stuck as a frog for the whole fight. You will only have access to 3 attacks and your items, so you may need to resort to healing items for this fight.

Report to Finn

After the fight, talk to the kids. You will need to play a game of Jumpfrog, where you need to jump over rotating objects on a platform and stay on for as long as you can. For the quest you only need to stay on for 30 seconds, but for all the rewards you need to stay on for 80 seconds. Each tier will reward you with an extra Enfeeblement Ring. Easiest strategy is to stay in the spot where you start without moving around. Just press :circle: to jump when the bottom beam gets close. This works fine till the 30 second mark when the beams start moving faster, then you’ll have to pay attention to the top beam so it doesn’t hit you mid-jump. You’ll need to move around a bit before your jumps to avoid the top beam. You can retry this as often as you like.
