Objectives:
- Measure the Mako Frequency (1/5)
- Measure the Mako Frequency (2/5)
- Measure the Mako Frequency (3/5)
- Measure the Mako Frequency (4/5)
- Measure the Mako Frequency (5/5)
Starting Location: From Whence Life Flows (Bugenhagen’s Request)
Measure the Mako Frequency (1/5)
Bugenhagen wants us to take readings of Mako Frequencies around the region, but doesn’t actually tell us where and gives us a map which you can view with and holding for a zoomed-in view. For this quest it’s highly recommended to unfog the map first. It’s best to gather the World Intel in this region first, then you’ll have everything unfogged. The place you’re looking for is directly east of Activation Intel 3.
Approach the gate and try to open it with for a cutscene.
Measure the Mako Frequency (2/5)
The next two can be tackled in any order, but we’ll cover the north-western one first. It’s found north-west of Divine Intel 1.
When you approach, three Desert Sahagins will be attacking the barricade. Defeat them for a cutscene.
Measure the Mako Frequency (3/5)
Head slightly to the south-east and you will find the third spring slightly west of Phenomenon Intel 1.
When you approach, three Skeeskees will be attacking the barricade. Defeat them for a cutscene.
Measure the Mako Frequency (4/5)
The next map is confusing at first, until you realize you must change its positioning by 90°. The compass in the top left of the map shows where north is.
The location is slightly north-east of Activation Intel 4.
When you approach, a Griffon and two Desert Sahagins will be attacking the barricade. Defeat them for a cutscene.
Measure the Mako Frequency (5/5)
The final map is upside-down. The location is on the mountain where Expedition Intel 4 & Moogle Intel are.
Approach the bottom of the mountain from the west, then follow the chocobo ramps up the mountain all the way to the top.
No enemies this time…yet. Open the gate, head in and watch the cutscene. You’ll then have to face three Threadspinner Chimera enemies who are weak to Ice magic. Defeat them for another cutscene and to end the quest.
