Final Fantasy 7 (VII) Trouble in Paradise Walkthrough

Trouble in Paradise is a side quest in Final Fantasy 7 (VII) Rebirth. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Trouble in Paradise Side Mission (Odd Job). It requires you to help Kyrie deal with some fiends.

Trouble in Paradise becomes available at the Costa del Sol Community Noticeboard in the Corel Region after arriving at Costa del Sol in Chapter 12 and completing the “Lifeline in Peril” and “The Hardest Sell” Side Quests.

Mission Info: It is my solemn charge to keep our slice of beachside paradise free from all manner of unpleasantness. To that end, I employed a freelancer to resolve a simple matter… which they have failed to do in a timely fashion. And so I must once more seek outside assistance – this time to deal with two problems. Rest assured you will be well compensated.

Starting Location: Trouble in Paradise

You can accept the Odd Job from the Community Noticeboard in Costa del Sol, or you can go directly to the quest giver at Bar del Sol.

Track Down the Merc

Head down to the beach to find the merc, Kyrie. She will give you a transmuter chip to create some legendary bait.

Defeat the Fiends on the Off-Limits Beach

In order to lure out the fiends on the beach, you will first need to create legendary bait. In order to make it, you will need 1 Great Malboro Tendril, 1 Jabberwock Horn, 5 Pearl Ginger Roots and 5 Ether Onions. The roots and onions are pretty commonly found, but for the Great Malboro Tendril you will need to complete Classified Intel: The Sultan of Stench in Gongaga Region, and for the Jabberwock Horn you will need to complete Classified Intel: The Wyvern Awoken in Cosmo Canyon Region.

These can be unlocked by completing Expedition Intel lifesprings in the respective regions. If you’ve used these items already to transmute other items, then you will need to redo the fight, which can be done by holding at the location. Once you’ve got the items, transmute some Legendary Bait. You must be Craftsmanship Level 14, you level up by transmuting other items for the first time. If you aren’t Craftsmanship Level 14 yet, you may need to spend some time gathering resources in the open world to craft enough other items. To unlock enough high-end crafting recipes to level up, you’ll have to complete the Excavation Sites in each region, which are unlocked by completing Lifesprings (see All World Intel Locations).
