The Tournament is an optional quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Tournament mission.

Test Your Might (Defeat the final enemy in the tournament), Naoe skill “Triple Threat” - Quest Description: Ota Gyuichi, former samurai and scribe to Oda Nobunaga, is collecting clan crests to aid in the writing of his histories.

This quest starts by going to the “!” marker in Izumi Settsu > Hideout. Talk to Ota Gyuichi on the path that leads to the hideout to start the quest, then it can be tracked from the objectives board.
After picking up the quest, go find him in the Ominesanji Temple in Yamato > Yoshino.
Ring the bell
Head across the tournament ring and ring the bell.
Defeat your opponent
You first fight Lady Masago. She only uses two combos. Just know that the light attack combo ends with a heavy attack.
The general strategy for all fights is the same: Play as Yasuke for better combat stats, get out of the enemy’s attack zone, hold R2/RT to charge a heavy attack, when the enemy walks towards you release the heavy attack, dodge backwards to get out of the danger zone, rinse and repeat. You only need to spam charged heavy attacks and dodge back, for all fights. If you invested in abilities you can use them for powerful attacks after charging up adrenaline chunks.
Ring the bell
Hit the bell again to start the next fight.
Defeat your opponent
Lord Sugura is next. He uses heavy attacks. If you get too far away from him, he uses a bow.

Hit the bell again to start the next fight.
Defeat your opponent
You take on Lord Hokuto next. He only uses a kanabo, so dodge all of his heavy attacks.
Ring the bell
Hit the bell again to start the next fight.
Defeat your opponent
Lady O-sen is your fourth opponent. Her only heavy attack is a kick. Otherwise, she uses light attacks.
Ring the bell
Hit the bell one more time to start the final fight.
Defeat your opponent
Lord Unkai takes you on in the final fight of the tournament. He does not have any armor, and he uses a naginataso. So, all of his attacks are all quick attacks. Use parry to take him out.
Talk to Gyoji
Head up the path and speak to Gyoji.
This unlocks the Test Your Might trophy/achievement.
This finishes The Tournament in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

I know this and every other guide says play as Yasuke, but I disagree. if you have the tanto skill hidden hand as one of your adrenaline slots you basically insta-kill every enemy in the game, including the tournament. you don’t have to dodge or anything. just use the skill and each round is literally 2 seconds. after the first few rounds you may need to get a few regular hits in to replenish adrenaline, but otherwise it’s a breeze.
