Flavor Country is a Side Quest in Far Cry 5. This walkthrough shows how to complete this Quest.
Region: Whitetail Mountains (Jacob’s Region)
Area: The Grill Streak (west of Baron Lumber Mill)
Quest Giver: Chad Wolanski
Requirement: having finished A Dish Served Cold
Reward: 200 RP & 750 $
Objectives:
- Collect Meat from Antlered Roadkills (4)
- Bring Meat to Chad
Head over to the Grill Streak and meet Chad. He is weird and on fire – literally. He just blew up his grill a bit and ruined all his meat. And this is were we come into play. He wants us to gather some sweet roadkill meat from deer.
Several spots will appear on your map, but the best one is the closest a bit to the west on some smaller swampy islands.
Take out your binoculars or scope and mark one or more animals..
..hop in your 4×4 or Quad and kill them..
..and skin them afterwards.
Once you have done this, return to our new favourite Hill-Billy.
He mentions that he is not done with us and a follow-up quest will reveal immediately.

Hardest mission in the game!!!! 🙁
Like the helicopter construction site in vice city? Haha. I swear if they put GTA 6 in vice city they should remake the mission too.

Just FYI – you can run them over with a helicopter flying really low as well – makes it really easy to get them in this same location.

Are you sure that you only hit the animals with your car?
Any other damage you do to them, like shooting, will void it as being roadkilled.
You can still do damage by shooting at them, but just make sure that the last “blow” ,so-to-speak, is from your vehicle and this will be considered a “road-kill”. Have fun
This mission is by far the harderst in the game. Once youre at the spot, your lucky if you even find a deer, then it takes like 7 or 8 hits with your quad and in most cases they just get up and run away, Also if you move to far away from your kill it will disappear or if it runs too far away it will disappear. BULLSHIT
I managed to complete this in 20 minutes. The trick is to drive to the location shown, stand at one of the far spots, NOT the center, and pan your vision ALL the way left, check the center to see if a caribou spawned. If not, pan ALL the way right. Repeat that a few times. If nothing spawns, drive forward about 30 feet and repeat. If you get in and out of the car the animals WILL despawn because this mission makes the entire game screwy and things will despawn and respawn at a borderline unplayable rate.
I have rammed them into the water almost 10 times now. When I skin them in the water, it doesn’t count. They died from the hit, but some glitch makes it cancel out. Also I loose the truck and have to keep getting new vehicles. Personal problem i know…just venting…
