Far Cry 5 – Grace Under Fire Story Mission Walkthrough

• Defend the Central Mausoleum
• Defend the East Mausoleum
• Defend the South Mausoleum
• Talk to Grace

Grace Armstrong is marked automatically in John’s Region after finishing the Prologue. She’s in the west of the region at Lamb of God Church. When you arrive there you will have to fend off some enemies. Then you can talk to Grace in the church tower. There’s a ladder just below the tower you can use to climb up there. Talk to her and “Grace Under Fire” will start.

In essence, this is a defense mission. There are three Mausoleums in front of the church. A few enemy waves will spawn and try to destroy the Mausoleums. You must keep them from destroying them at all cost!

There are two ways to go about this: grab the scoped Assault Rifle from the church rooftop and snipe the enemies or get down there and kill them from up close with a shotgun. Most enemies will arrive in cars and come from the road up ahead. A few will come through the woods on the right side. You’ll constantly have to keep an eye on the “health” bar above the Mausoleums. The ones on the right and left side tend to have the most attackers. The good news is that if you die, the Mausoleums will have full “health” when you respawn.

Personally, I found it easier to shoot everyone from up close with a shotgun and pistol. There is plenty of cover and enemies die in 1 shotgun blast. There are checkpoints during the defense.

At the end 3 flamethrower enemies will spawn, those are the trickiest. Try to shoot the tank on the back until it explodes. Stay far away from them, use the scoped rifle you picked up from the rooftop to shoot their tank a few times. At close range they will burn you and the explosion from their tank might kill you. The flamethrower guys are the last wave.

After all is done, Grace will come down from the roof. Talk to her to finish the mission.
