Sundown is a Main Story Quest (Operation) in Far Cry 6. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Sundown main mission.

Requirement: having completed Operations “Packing Heat” & “Blood Ties”
Reward: 300 XP
Mission Info: José Castillo has captured some guerillas from our camp. He is going to execute them in Verdera Square. We need to rescue them before they die.
Objectives:
- Reach the church in the town of Verdera
- Find the sniper rifle inside the bell tower
- Carry Alejandro to safety before he dies
- Defend Philly’s truck
Starting Location: Sundown
While you are still in the camp, it would be a good idea to equip a rocketlauncher, if you haven’t already.
Reach the church in the town of Verdera
If you have been to the nearby town before, use the fast-travel-point and you will be exactly where we need to go – close to the church.
Find the sniper rifle inside the bell tower
To get into the bell tower, head around the northern side of the church and use the ladders to get on the roof.
Now, a longer, action-ridden cutscene will play and leave us with Espadas wounded brother.
Carry Alejandro to safety before he dies
Pick up Alejandro 
and use your handgun to navigate to the exfiltration point. Walk through the church and head to the right side of the altar to exit.
Outside, we need to make our way across the steet and into the narrow alleyway. Whenever you feel ready, give Espada a hand to speed things up with the enemies rushing towards you.
Head around the right side and through the open section of the wall.
Approach the section with the ladder and turn right.
Make a left turn through the destroyed wall and another left to reach the street where Philly will pick us up with the truck.
Defend Philly’s truck
Now, we need to protect the four of us from the back of the truck. If you hopefully brought your rocketlauncher, this will make things easy, although you’ll have infinite ammo for whatever you have equipped.
Always check the mini-map to see, where the next jeep will arrive from.
This gives you an advantage and you can easily dispose of Castillo’s troops. Don’t shoot when they are too close to the truck, as it could blow up as well.
There is a total of ten vehicles you need to destroy on your escape, before the final cutscene of this mission plays out.
