Far Cry 6 All Criptograma Chests & Criptograma Charts Locations

Far Cry 6 has 15 Criptograma Chests and 30 Criptograma Charts. This guide shows all of their locations and solutions. Opening all 15 Criptograma Chests unlocks the That’s Puzzling trophy or achievement. Each Criptograma Chest requires you to find 2 nearby Criptograma Charts which are used as keys to then open the chest. Each chest then rewards you with a piece of high-grade armor. There is no purchasable in-game map for these.

Around each Criptograma Chest you will find blue markings in the game world that point you in the direction of the Criptograma Charts. There’s also a wind chime at each chest and chart that you can hear from far away, which helps locating them. The Charts don’t get marked on the map but they are always close to the Chest around the same area. Make sure you have the audio turned up to hear the wind chimes easily.

None of the Criptograma Chests or Charts are missable. You can still find all of them after the story in free-roam. You can keep track of which ones you’ve found under Collection > Criptograma Charts.

The fastest way to collect them all is to clear the map of Anti-Aircraft Cannons first and use the Avispa Buzzer helicopter, which you get from the FND Special Forces Base in the north-east of Valle De Oro. It can land even in water and you can listen for the wind chimes as you fly around.

Isla Santuario (Starting Island)

Criptograma Chest #1

Chest is found at a house north-west of Armonia town.

 

Criptograma Charts: #06 Royal Palm & #01 Yaran Flag
The Charts are very close to the chest. One on the rooftop of the house, the other in a tunnel to the right of the house.

Madrugada (West Region)

Criptograma Chest #2

Chest is found in the small town El Dorado Cabins, on a tower you can use your grappling hook on.

Criptograma Charts: #22 Dog & #03 Pig
The Charts are found around the beach, south of the chest.

Criptograma Chest #3

Found in the small town Poesia, at the jetty.

Criptograma Charts: #10 Rooster & #25 Yara Libre
The first chart is on some rocks in the water, straight ahead from the jetty with the chest on it. Then follow the blue markings at the coastline until you can grapple up the cliffs (past the lighthouse) to find the 2nd chart.

Criptograma Chest #4

In the north of Verdera town, on top of a billboard that you can climb.

Criptograma Charts: #16 El Trompo & #19 Sunrise Mariposa Flower
Both are found on the rooftops houses around Verdera, follow the blue markings from the chest.

Criptograma Chest #5

On the balcony of a building near a dockside pickup point.

Criptograma Charts: #28 Yaran Queen Butterfly & #12 Shark
The first chart is found on the island directly north of the chest, use the dockside pickup point to spawn a vehicle. The 2nd chart is found underwater, must dive to the bottom of the ocean and pick it up from a blue piece of wood. Just a few meters/yard west of the 2nd island.

Valle De Oro (Central Region)

Criptograma Chest #6

In the south of Feroza town, at a construction site.

Criptograma Charts: #23 Libertad Emblem & #04 Starfish
Both charts are very close to the chest in the same construction yard, but they are hidden behind some wooden pallets you must destroy. The first is in a shipping container, destroy the pallets on one end of the container. The 2nd is in an old destroyed car at the outer edge of the construction site, but it’s covered up by another wooden pallet and hard to see. Shoot the pallet (and if needed push the remains of it away by walking or shooting against it), then you can reach the chart inside the car.

Criptograma Chest #7

North-west of Segunda town, in a watch tower in the fields.

Criptograma Charts: #13 Cat & #29 Soursop
Both charts are within a 10 meter radius of the chest. They are underground and you must destroy the wooden pallets covering up the holes in the ground (each of them has a gasoline barrel next to it). You can see both of them from the tower where the chest is, both are in the fields, one left of the tower, one right.

Criptograma Chest #8

Found at the ruins in a flooded area, at the bottom of an old tower.

Criptograma Charts: #09 Tarantula & #26 Boxing Gloves
The first chart is at the top of the tower where the chest is. You will need to use your grappling hook and at one point must climb up some flowers/vines to get further up. The 2nd chart is in another smaller tower at the west edge of the flooded area. You can either wingsuit to it from the bigger tower, or dive down to find an underwater entrance (blue eye icon will mark the diving spot).

In the town of Rubén.

Criptograma Charts: #20 Mamey Sapote & #17 Coin
First chart is by the water, below the jetty. The 2nd is inside a cave – you can either shoot the orange nets from the shoreline to break open the entrance, or you can access it from the path behind the criptograma chest (about 15 meters south of it).

El Este (East Region)

Criptograma Chest #10

On rooftop of The People’s Pride Clinic.

Criptograma Charts: #18 Cigar & #21 Croco Taxi
Both charts are found on the rooftops of the housing blocks. The first is on the right building of the central block. The 2nd one is on another building, further north across the street, the building closest to the beach. Easiest option would be to use a helicopter to quickly fly to the rooftops (but they can also be climbed by grappling hook / ziplines / jumps).

Criptograma Chest #11

Found on a jetty in the swamps at Barriga.

Criptograma Charts: #14 Horse & #30 Domino
Both charts are found at huts around the swamps. The first is directly north of the chest. The second is at the west edge of the swamps. Can use a helicopter to quickly get around the area.

Criptograma Chest #12

Chest is found in the north of Savannah Fields.

Criptograma Charts: #07 El Crocodilo & #27 Tocororo
Both charts are in Savannah Fields. The first is south-west of the chest, must shoot some wooden doors to an enclosure to find the chart pinned inside. The second is on the wall of a building a couple hundred meters south of the chest.

Criptograma Chest #13

Found on a rooftop in Concepción.

Criptograma Charts: #05 Machete & #24 Chalice
Both charts are found around the town. From the chest, follow the blue arrow to the north, jump over to the roofs and then drop down into the yard straight ahead. The first chart is in a market stall in this yard. After picking it up, go up the stairs and head to the right (east), climb the roofs and jump over to the 2nd chart. Should be easy to hear the wind chime coming from it.

Esperanza (North Region)

Criptograma Chest #14

In the southern outskirts of Esperanza.

Criptograma Charts: #08 Car Clásico & #15 El Flamenco
Use grappling hook to the left of the chest to climb up. Then jump over to the next rooftop on the right for the first chart. From there use zipline to another building and from where you land climb up flowers/vines to find 2nd chart on top.

Criptograma Chest #15

A few meters north of La Divinidad Cathedral (FND Base). Must use grappling hook around the houses to get up there, you should see the chest icon on minimap when getting close.

Criptograma Charts: #11 Rum & #02 La Guitarra
From the chest, jump over to the roofs on the right and then on the left jump over to the cathedral. There you’ll find the first note on the balcony. Then head through the cathedral (stay on the same floor, upstairs where you were) and exit on the other east side. There will be a wooden ramp you can jump to the rooftops further east (or alternatively, climb up flowers/vines from below). On the roof is the last criptograma chart.

That’s all 15 Criptograma Chests and 30 Criptograma Charts in Far Cry 6. After opening all 15 you will earn the That’s Puzzling trophy or achievement immediately.
