Tricks of the Trade is a Yaran Story (Side Quest) in Far Cry 6. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Tricks of the Trade side mission.

Mission Info: We have their captain. They have our Felicia. It’s time to make a trade! Go let the regime know that we are open to negotiating and will gladly trade a military man with last year’s haircut for the best spy in all of Yara.
Objectives:
- Head to the Fernando Local Radio station
- Vandalize the Admiral Benitez billboards
- Head to the rendezvous point at Basilica de la Virgen
- Defend Felicia
- Untie Felicia
Starting Location: Tricks of the Trade
Tricks of the Trade is a Yaran Story available at the La Moral base in Conuco, El Este after completing “Undercover Stud“. It can be started by talking to Gilberto Rosario.
Head to the Fernando Local Radio station
Go to the mission marker at the radio station and grab the posters.
Vandalize the Admiral Benitez billboards
You now need to find billboards of Admiral Benitez to vandalize. These are all located along the southern coast of Vacia Coast, Promise Peaks and Robustas Hills, all of which are in the Sierra Perdida sub-region. There are five billboards, however you only need to vandalize three of them. After the third, Gilberto will contact you.
The first billboard is on Vacia Coast near the Military Archives. You can reach it by climbing the structures behind it.
The second billboard is at the south-eastern point of Vacia Coast. You can reach it by climbing the digger in front of it.
The third billboard is at the fishing village at bottom of Promise Peaks. In order to reach this one you will need to go up the hill to the right of it and use the zipline.
The fourth billboard is near a turnoff in Robustas Hills. You can reach it by climbing the containers behind it.
The fifth billboard is further along the coastal road in Robustas Hills. You can reach it by climbing the structure behind it.
Head to the rendezvous point at Basilica de la Virgen
Head to the Basilica for a cutscene.
Defend Felicia
Keep your weapon holstered during the trade otherwise the enemies will go hostile immediately. Once Felicia comes to your side, the enemies will attack you. Take out the snipers first, then deal with the rest of the enemies while defending Felicia.
Untie Felicia
Simply untie Felicia.
This finishes Tricks of the Trade Yaran Story in Far Cry 6.

I’m not sure if it has any effects beyond this mission, but you can choose to kill Captain Diaz if you want to. He runs away from the exchange, towards to the rear of the building and then east. He’ll leave the mission area if you take too long, he’s marked in blue (as an ally). You’ll get different dialogue from Gilberto at the completion of the quest if this happens.

How do i find the starting guy gilberto? I cannot find the base i just keep running around on top of the map markers like a lunatic

Odd this one. At the basilica I took out the left sniper first. Went for the other one but there was no sign of him or her. Then I saw a blue marker running away around the left side of the church (like at the beginning of the mission when Diaz was captured) so I mistakenly chased after it thinking it was the person I was supposed to be defending. But I think it must have been Captain Diaz, as xtcrefugee says.
I got as far the far left rear of the church and, realising my mistake, I ran back.
The fight finished just before I got back to the front of the church. I only got off one shot! I thought it was going to be harder to accomplish. Oh well.
