Far Cry 6 Vaas Insanity All Armory Weapons Locations

November 16, 2021 by PowerPyx 4 Comments

Far Cry 6 Vaas Insanity DLC (Vaas’ Mind) has 9 Weapon Locations. Unlocking every weapon in Vaas’ Armory unlocks the Freudian Field Day trophy and achievement. For the trophy you only need to unlock the first level of each weapon, no need to upgrade them. This guide shows you how to unlock all weapons quickly.

None of the weapons are missable. They all come from doing the Armory Challenges scattered across the map. They get marked by a blue icon when going near them. Interact with the big chest at their location to start a challenge that requires defeating a certain number of enemies. If you succeed you will unlock the weapon permanently in the starting camp and any safe house. You can also upgrade the weapons for cash. The upgrade level is also permanent. Do note that you can only carry one weapon of each type (main, secondary, special weapon). If you have an empty inventory you get one weapon of each category for free from doing the Armory Challenges. But if you want to switch to another weapon you must buy it with cash, which increase in price when leveling up the weapons. For the “Self-Help” trophy / achievement you must fully upgrade all 9 weapons to the maximum (golden color). This costs a lot of cash, but it can quickly be farmed at Mind Level 5 which gives you double the cash and is unlocked after beating it once at Mind Level 1.

All weapon unlocks and upgrades are permanent. Once you do the Challenge once, they will remain unlocked on each playthrough. The Challenges you have done on the current playthrough will have a green instead of blue icon on the map. You can always check at the weapon station in the starting camp which weapon case you are missing. However, after dying you lose the weapons in your inventory and must repurchase them.

Weapon #1: Pistol
Automatic starting weapon, can’t miss it. You are given a tutorial at the very start of Vaas Insanity that makes you buy this at the weapon cache in the camp where you spawn.

Weapon #2: Grenade Launcher

Weapon #3: SMG

Weapon #4: Auto Pistol

Weapon #5: Sniper Rifle

Weapon #6: Bow

Weapon #7: Rifle

Weapon #8: Machine Gun

Weapon #9: Shotgun

That’s all of the weapons in the Vaas expansion of Far Cry 6.

I’ve gotten a better shotgun and sniper rifle from doing the challenge after having the other ones in my inventory but not sure exactly how or why the other better guns appeared to earn after having redone those challenges but would like to know so I can re-earn them after dying because only the original guns can be repurchased but the shotgun that looks like the SPAS with 7 rounds cannot just be repurchased.

Any idea how those are unlocked? I can’t seem to find any information on those at all.

It seems ONLY certain weapons offer other variations of a tier 2 special weapon. I just got the SaS shotgun you mentioned. I think another one is the sniper rifle. It seems only certain ones. Not sure if having them upgraded triggers it or not.

Confirmed! Fully random! Sometimes it’s just a base item with random rolls other times it’s a tier 2 named weapon with 4 perks. I just got a SMG called Primal Urges! Hope this helps. Happy gaming 🙂

Now in tier 2 of VaAs’s DLC and I can confirm that even though random, as you move up in the tiers more weapons that have a specific name and top tier perks become available from the challenges. i just got a RPG where you normally get the grenade launcher. Happy gaming :D

Ps. Going for that trophy that’s rare to complete Tier 5!
