Throw The Dice is a Side Quest in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. This walkthrough shows how to complete the quest.

- Deal with the Merchant Autolykos
- Bargain with the Merchant Autolykos
- Intimidate the Merchant Autolykos by destroying his goods
- Acquire the stolen map at Autolykos’s house
- Acquire Pan’s Flute
- Acquire Apollo’s Lyre
Throw The Dice Starting Location
This quest is given by Xenia on Keos after completing her 3rd treasure hunt She Who Controls the Seas.
Bargain with the Merchant Autolykos / Intimidate the Merchant Autolykos by destroying his goods
The first objective takes you to Argolis. There’s a merchant in a harbor area. The easiest option is to destroy his goods to make him tell you where the stolen map is. Destroy two of the vases around him and he’ll talk.
Acquire the stolen map at Autolykos’s house
If you destroyed the Autolykos’s goods you get a waypoint to his house just 130 meters away. Inside the house, the maps are found in a chest. There are a bunch of enemies guarding it but you can easily sneak past them.
Acquire Pan’s Flute
Just like with the other treasure quests you receive maps. This time there’s only one map per item. First there’s Pan’s Flute.
Pan’s Flute Location: Pan’s Flute is found in Attika, in the location “Cave of Pan”. It’s a cave filled with a dozen bandits.
Pan’s Flute is at the very end of the cave, where one Clan Chief stands and where the treasure chest is. See the image below, it’s to the left of the big treasure chest.
Acquire Apollo’s Lyre
The remaining treasure map shows us location for Apollo’s Lyre.
Apollo’s lyre Location: It’s in Euboea, at the “Apollo’s Temple” enemy camp.
Inside the camp near a cliff you can find the item on an altar-like structure.
Now bring back both items to Xenia on Keos. Then she gives her 5th and final treasure hunt “Priceless Treasure“.

that was why I wasn’t led to the merchant

Pans lute is inside the wall how the F am I supposed to get it?

The fun thing is that the quest description says that to find the merchant, you need to track down and sink a ship called Nauplios sailing somewhere south of Paros. And in fact, according to other walkthroughs, there is a ship called Nauplios in the game (supposedly it’s a unique merchant trireme). However, I sailed back and forth between Nauplios and Messara for several hours, and the ship did not spawned. Only after reading this description I found Autolykos in the CITY of Nauplios, and after threatening him, the maps miraculously appeared in my inventory in spite of the fact he said they were in his house (perhaps because of the fact I had cleared the location earlier – it’s a house near the ship hangar). Then, I could find the artifacts in the locations pointed out here.
