Lies of P All Handle Altering Material Locations

Lies of P contains 12 Handle Altering Material Locations. Handle Altering Materials (Motivity, Technique, Advance, and Balance Cranks) allow you to increase the attribute ranks your weapon scales up with. Handle Altering Materials are instrumental in making your weapons more effective and powerful in combat, some of which can even scale up to an S rank and are often dropped by Dimensional Butterflies. Each Handle can be altered according to Motivity, Technique, and Advance. You can even use Balance Cranks to reset your handle’s properties which can be particularly useful for when you respec. Below is a list of all Handle Altering Materials and how to unlock them in chronological order.

Workshop Union Entrance

1. Motivity Crank: eventually you’ll witness a massive crate dropping from the ceiling and making a massive hole on the floor. Drop down and defeat the enemy if you’d like. Then, go up the stairs and you’ll run into a Dimensional Butterfly dropping this.

Venigni Works Control Room

1. Technique Crank: from Venigni’s location near the Stargazer, retrace your steps and walk along the iron beams, aiming for the left side. The furthermost item is a Technique Crank.

St. Frangelico Cathedral Library

1. Advance Crank: shortly after the Stargazer, you’ll reach a room with 4 holes on the floor. Drop down any one of them (you’ll survive) and you’ll reach a room with a chest and a Dimensional Butterfly. Kill it to obtain this item.

Malum District

1. Motivity Crank: after parting your way with the Red Fox and the Black Cat, enter the next building to find this.

Estella Opera House

1. Technique Crank: as you explore the Opera House, you’ll eventually reach a dark side room with a ladder leading down. Kill the two hunter puppets at the bottom, then the Dimensional Butterfly that drops this.

Grand Exhibition Gallery

1. Technique Crank: from the Stargazer, continue on until you’re back outside. As soon as you are, you can kill this Dimensional Butterfly for the crank.

Abandoned Apartment

1. Motivity Crank: in the same area where you come across the head-butting elite enemy, on the main path.

Relic of Trismegistus Entrance

1. Technique Crank: from the Stargazer, continue down the hill and you’ll find this crank by a bonfire.

Arche Abbey Outer Wall

1. Balance Crank: after defeating a tiger scorpion enemy, continue up the stairs and then the ladder by the enemy that was operating the cannon. Immediately after the ladder is this item on a very narrow ledge, on your right.

Arche Abbey Broken Rift

1. Balance Crank: after killing the big Pinocchio toy enemy, continue up the ladder and kill the Dimensional Butterfly in your path.

Arche Abbey Upper Part – Internal Bridge

1. Advance Crank: you’ll soon find two swordsmen on the bridge. Left of them, there’s a small side path overlooking the black smoke leading to a chest. Be very careful as there’s another swordsman hiding behind the column where the chest is. Continue on and you’ll find this in your path, after activating the shortcut ladder.
2. Balance Crank: continue on, past yet another swordsman and a gatling gun puppet. Continue onto the steel bridge and immediately check your right.
