Far Cry 6 Take Your Medicine Walkthrough

October 4, 2021 by Archavia 2 Comments

Take Your Medicine is a Main Story Quest (Operation) in Far Cry 6. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Take Your Medicine main mission.

Region: El Este
Sub-Region: Sierra Perdida
Quest Giver: El Tigre
Requirement: Complete Operation “Meet the Legends”
Reward: 150 Guerrilla XP
Mission Info: Go get the medical supplies from the chopper that was shot down. They are supposed to be a “gift” from Libertad to Lucky Mama and will hopefully make her more open to joining our fight.

Objectives:

  • Get El Tigre’s medical supplies
  • Secure the crash site
  • Bring back a helicopter to airlift the supplies
    • I need to destroy the anti-aircraft cannon before I can fly
    • The army sometimes uses baseball fields for emergency landings
    • Gotta deliver the helicopter to the crash site

Starting Location: Take Your Medicine

Take Your Medicine is an operation available at the Patriotas Peak camp in Sierra Perdida, El Este after completing “Meet the Legends“. It can be started by talking to El Tigre.

Get El Tigre’s medical supplies

Head to the Sierra Perdida Supply Depot at the mission marker. Once you enter the area you will get a cutscene.

Secure the crash site

You will now be assaulted by multiple waves of enemies and will need to defeat them all. There are two turrets on rooftops in this area that are very good for dealing with the enemies, but if you use these they may potentially get destroyed by enemy grenades. Towards the end of the assault an enemy helicopter will arrive, which if you don’t have explosives or a turret to use for can be a bit troublesome, but if this happens just try and shoot the pilot through the window.

Bring back a helicopter to airlift the supplies

After the assault you will need to grab a helicopter, but before you can do this, you will need to destroy Anti-Aircraft Site Zeta.

I need to destroy the anti-aircraft cannon before I can fly

You may have already done this prior to the mission, in which case this objective will be auto-completed. Head to the mission marker at Anti-Aircraft Site Zeta. At the site, you can destroy the AA gun by shooting the gasoline barrel next to it if you don’t have any explosives. Conveniently there are two helicopters located here so you won’t need to head to a baseball field to find one.

The army sometimes uses baseball fields for emergency landings

If you did already destroy the AA gun prior to doing this mission, you will need to go to one of the two baseball fields to find a helicopter instead.

Gotta deliver the helicopter to the crash site

Once you have a helicopter, either from the AA site or a baseball field, you will need to fly back to the crash site. You may get attacked by an enemy helicopter here, in which case destroy it with your rockets and machine gun.

This finishes Take Your Medicine operation in Far Cry 6.

I didn’t do any of this. I turned up in the Avispa and parked it at the top of the hill due west of the Sierra Perdida Supply Depot. Made my way down the hill and fought off the waves of soldiers and shot down the chopper. Okay so far.

I then got three yellow target indicators. I had already taken out Anti-Aircraft Site Zeta so I decided to fly the Avispa to that location.

But would the Avispa be enough and would I need to get a bigger chopper?

As soon as I took off in the Avispa the game changed placing the yellow target indicator down in the Supply Depot I was at moments ago. So I flew the Avispa down the hill to the Supply Depot but parked it between two buildings. I hadn’t seen the Helipad.

Back over the forest to the northwest was the enemy helicopter. It was just hovering there. A sitting duck for my laser guided AA rocket grenade. I took it out and the Guerilla leader shouted that I need to land on the helipad. So I moved the Avispa to the helipad and, before I reached it, I got the cut scene with the huge medical supplies crate being loaded onto my tiny Avispa and ‘Task Complete’ screen. I hadn’t flown anywhere.

This game is way too easy.

Please ignore “with the medical supplies.” at the end of my second paragraph.
