In The Blood of Dawnwalker you will need a Shovel to dig up the Treasures from Bandit’s Treasure Maps. You can find shovels throughout the world, typically in some of the bandit camps and near treasure dig sites. Once you have any shovel, you can use it to dig up all of the treasures, so keep it in your inventory and don’t sell it.
Once you have a shovel it will be listed in the “Consumables” section of the inventory as a common item, though you can use it repeatedly and it’s not consumed when digging up treasures.
Shovel Location #1:
In your starting village Laslea Glen (Prologue area), go to the far east edge where you’ll find a bear. Where you defeat the bear is a shovel. This is also where you go to dig up Bandits’s Treasure Map: Laslea Glen, a shovel is conveniently placed next to this treasure.
Shovel Location #2:
In the Bandit Camp in Briar Sloughs region.
Shovel Location #3:
In the Bandit Camp in the woods between Maragir Wealds & St. Tyna’s Grove regions.
