Sake and Swords is an optional quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Sake and Swords mission.

- Questboard Category: The League > Gennojo
- Quest Giver: Available automatically after completing the quest Lost Honor
- Requirement: Available immediately after completing the quest Lost Honor
- Recommended Level: 27
- Reward: 1000 EXP
- Quest Description: Naoe overhears a disturbance in a small village where she encounters a familiar, inebriated face.
Talk to Gennojo
To track Sake and Swords, navigate to the Objectives Board. Scroll to the League group and select the quest under Gennojo.
Find Gennojo drunk south of Byodoin Temple in the Ogura Pond sub-region of Yamashiro.
Interact with him.
He gives you a dialogue option:
- [You’re putting everyone in danger.]
- [I’m not interested.]
- [Depends what you’re offering.] – Romance
The only difference between these three options is opening up the possibility of a romance with Gennojo. If you don’t care about that, then you can choose whichever you like best.
Kill the enemies
Two men attack. Defeat both of them.
Talk to Gennoji
Interact with Gennoji to continue the quest.
Much like the first choice, this one builds up more favor with Gennoji should you want to nurture the relationship with him.

- [Show me, thief.]
Other than that, the quest ends the same way no matter which option you choose.
This finishes Sake and Swords in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
