• Quest Description: Something unusual happened in Svartrau. It might be worth checking out – any trouble in the city could spell trouble for Brencis.

Objectives:

1. Investigate the rogue vrakhir presence in Svartrau
2. Investigate the area by the north-east wall of Svartrau using Focus Mode
3. Investigate the alley using Focus Mode
4. See where the damage leads using Focus Mode
5. Use vrakhiri skills to investigate the roof
6. Use vrakhiri skills to follow the rooftop tracks
7. Investigate the tracks on ground level
8. Get inside the building
9. Defend yourself
10. Interrogate Nish

Starting Location: A Friend Like This

This quest can be started in a couple of ways but the guaranteed method is to go to the alley in the north-east edge of Svartrau City below the city walls, use Focus Mode (hold L2/LT) to scan for yellow outlined objects and inspect them.

If you haven’t already started the quest by inspecting the alley in Svartrau City, then this will be the first objective. Just like explained in the starting location above, go to the alley in the north-east edge of Svartrau City below the city walls, use Focus Mode (hold L2/LT) to scan for yellow outlined objects and inspect them.

Just south of the wall corner you can investigate a roof tile that is lying on the ground.

Use vrakhiri skills to investigate the roof

You will need to wait until night time to be able to progress, then you can continue following the tracks up to the rooftops at the marked location.

Use Focus Mode to spot the broken sections of roof tiles on the buildings, and keep following them southwest.

Investigate the tracks on ground level

Eventually the tracks will lead off the rooftop to a lower area as represented by some claw marks on a wall. Drop to ground level from here to continue.

Get inside the building

Follow the steps up to the building and enter the doorway on the left.

Defend yourself

When you enter the building you will be immediately attacked by the vrahkir inside regardless of your response, defeat her to continue.

Interrogate Nish

Lacra wants your help getting information from Nish, which you can do by just talking if you pick the correct options. For the easiest and least violent path, you can choose the following options:

• Glady. But we will actually talk.
• What happened? Your side of the story.
• You’re one of his soldiers.
• What did he do to you?
• Brencis is our common enemy.
• I cannot let this go, because of my family.
• You have my word.
• I promise.
• You’re not killing him.
