A Mother’s Plea is a side quest in The Blood of Dawnwalker. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the A Mother’s Plea side mission.
- Starting Location: Uriashi Village
- Quest Giver: Uriash Elder
- Requirement: Complete Song of the Mountain
- Fail State: Quest is only available if you peacefully enter the village in Song of the Mountain
- Reward: 250 XP, 150 coins, Soul Stigma Manual, Sacred Stones marked on map
- Time Required: 3 time segments + time to finish The Heart Wants What it Wants
- Questline: A Friend Like This > Song of the Mountain > A Mother’s Plea (Optional) > The Heart Wants What it Wants
- Quest Description: The uriashi Bakr Clan was led by a wise and pragmatic Elder – but she couldn’t do everything by herself. In fact, she asked me to look into something. As it turned out – I was about to get into some really private affairs…
Objectives:
- Ask the Elder about her request
- Follow the Elder
- Inspect the sacred obelisk
- Look for Ocha in the tavern in Altenmarkt
- Speak to Ocha
- Defeat Ocha in a fistfight
- Resolve Ocha’s problem
- Return to the Elder
Starting Location: A Mother’s Plea
Note this quest is optional in relation to “The Heart Wants What it Wants“. You are able to obtain and complete that quest without first obtaining this one, and you won’t receive this quest at all if you attack the uriash village instead of entering peacefully in “Song of the Mountain“.
Ask the Elder about her request
When you are ready to hear the request, return to the Elder in the uriash village who is always standing by her house in the middle of the village.
Follow the Elder
Follow the Elder to an area nearby.
Inspect the sacred obelisk
The Elder asks you to inspect the obelisk that she shows, interact with all the handprints.
Look for Ocha in the tavern in Altenmarkt
The Elder explains that she wants you to find her daughter in Svartrau and bring her back so that she can take over the role of Elder. You can check the other two locations first if you want, but Ocha is always found at the tavern in Altenmarkt (northwestern Svartrau City).
Speak to Ocha
Interact with Ocha to try and speak with her.
Defeat Ocha in a fistfight
Ocha will throw you outside, and you must defeat her in a fistfight to get her to talk to you.
Resolve Ocha’s problem
Osha asks for your help, which starts the quest The Heart Wants What It Wants.
Return to the Elder
After you have completed Ocha’s quest, return to the Elder in the uriash village and inform her of Ocha’s decision to complete this quest. Whether you convince Ocha to return or not doesn’t affect the reward for this quest, you receive the same thing no matter what.
This finishes A Mother’s Plea side quest in The Blood of Dawnwalker.
