Nobutsuna’s Students is the 94th main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Nobutsuna’s Students mission.

- Reward: 5500 XP, Yasuke skill “Samurai Stand”
- Quest Description: Having learned of this sensei’s departure from Azuchi Castle, Yasuke decides to pay him a visit at his new residence.
Return to Nobutsuna sensei
To track Nobutsuna’s Students, navigate to the Objectives Board. Scroll to the People of Omi group and select the quest under Nobutsuna’s Students.
Nobutsuna sensei is at his home in Azuchi, located in the far southwest corner of the city.
Speak to him when you arrive.
He presents a dialogue choice:
- [I have found new allies.]
- [I have honed my skills.]
Choose whichever you prefer. The choice doesn’t change anything. Let it be known, though, that you must be Yasuke when you challenge these students.
Nobutsuna has six students you need to duel. All of them can be tracked on the Objective Board. Scroll to the Nobutsuna’s Students group and select a student to track that student.
1/6: Marume Nagayoshi – Omi > Azuchi
Find the duel challenge board here.
Then, follow the directions on the challenge.
2/6: Asari Nobutane – Kii > Negoroji
Find the teppo merchant in the south end of Negoroji.
Speak to him.
Defeat the two enemies attacking him.
Find Asari Nobutane in a bamboo forest nearby.
You can only use a teppo to duel Asari Nobutane. He uses smoke bombs after getting hit and disappears.
3/6: Hozoin In’ei – Yamato > Asuka Rocks Basin
Fend off the enemies. Once they’re gone, talk to one of the civilians.
Head east to find Choanji Yakushido. Talk to to Hozoin In’ei inside the building.
In this fight, you can only use a kanabo. Apart from the fact that Hozoin In’ei has a poison weapon, this fight is very simple.
4/6: Nagano Saemon – Wakasa > Sotomo Gate
You come across a wounded soldier among dead soldiers. Speak to the wounded soldier.
Then, swim north to the other side of the cove, then enter this break in the rock face.
Interact with the dead body on the rock.
This fight is limited to using a bow. While annoying, he doesn’t require a lot of hits. Just keep moving.
5/6: Yagyu Monetushi – Yamato > Takatori
Yagyu Monetushi sits right next to the viewpoint on Mount Miwa.
Talk to him to start the duel.
He fights only a katana. He also only uses heavy attacks, so don’t bother trying to parry.
6/6: Yuki no Kata – Harima > Kakogawa Estuary
Find Yuki no Kata at the Ishinohoden Shrine northwest of the Kakogawa Estuary.
Interact with the injured soldier.
Then, walk up to the shrine and interact with Yuki no Kata.
Return to Nobutsuna
Go back to Nobutsuna’s Estate in Azuchi and speak with him.
Kill Sanada Masatoyo
You can find Sanada Masatoyo in Omi on the west cast by Suzuka Foothills.
Interact with the front gate.
The fight is very straightforward. Just follow his two attack patterns and counter them.
This finishes Nobutsuna’s Students in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
