Assassin’s Creed Shadows The Leaf Turns Walkthrough

The Leaf Turns is a side quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the The Leaf Turns side mission.

• Requirement: Complete side quest Fallen Soldiers
• Recommended Level: Scales with your level
• Reward: 1000 EXP, Koshiro’s Gift (quest item)
• Quest Description: With Koshiro still reeling from his injuries at the hand of his old comrades, Naoe resolves to help him seek a new purpose.

The quest begins automatically after completing “Fallen Soldiers.” Track the quest on the Objectives Board on People of Harima > Koshiro.

Check on Koshiro

Location: Harima > Mount Kasagata > Kitano Village

Tidy up with Koshiro

Interact with the broken material outside the house.

Then, go into his house and interact with the wood chips just inside the door.

Go left into the next room and pick up the paper from the table.

Koshiro gives you a dialogue option:

• [Let me help you.]
• [You’re being selfish.]

Choose whichever option you like. These do not change the flow of the quest.

Then another option:

• [Genzaburo was wrong.]
• [You’re more than a blade to me.] – Romance option

These options don’t change the flow of the quest, but choosing “You’re more than a blade to me” lets you build up a relationship with Koshiro.

Retrieve Koshiro’s toolbox

Location: Harima > Mount Kasagata > Inariyama Garrison

The objective is buried on the west corner of the Inariyama Garrison.

Interact with the ground underneath the leaning tree.

Leave the garrison and head northeast to Lover’s Lake to find Koshiro.

Talk to him on the bridge, and he presents you with a dialogue option:

• [We have a special connection.] – Romance
• [We are friends.]

The only difference in these options is choosing “We have a special connection” contributes to a relationship with Koshiro.

Then another option:

• [I’d like to spend more time with you.] – Romance
• [A walk sounds nice.]

Follow Koshiro

You can auto-follow Koshiro in this section if you wish.

Then another option:

• [You must follow your heart.] – Romance
• [You can help others.]

“You must follow your heart” contributes to your relationship with Koshiro.

You can then auto-follow Koshiro again.

Join Koshiro

When he stops and sits down, sit down next to him.

Then another choice:

• [Like me.] – Romance
• [It’s your choice.]

This finishes The Leaf Turns in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
