In Crimson Desert, you can rest at campfires and cooking pots to skip time.
For example, you find a cooking pot in Hernand Town, to the right of the meat vendor.
You must aim at the pot with L1/LB to see the “WAIT” prompt appear.
Then you can choose to sleep for different lengths of time: 3 hours – 6 hours – 12 hours.
Note that there’s a cooldown, you can’t sleep multiple times in a row. After you sleep, it will take some time until you can sleep again.
What sleeping does in Crimson Desert:
- The main relevance is to advance the progress on the passive Freesword missions that are started at your Greymane Camp (Howling Hill). These take a certain amount of in-game hourse to complete and reward resources for your camp. For example, 18 hours in-game time. By sleeping 12 hours in-game time you can vastly speed this up and get the rewards faster. The freesword camp missions are introduced during Chapter 3.
- If you don’t like to play at night (low visibility in the dark), you can skip time till day.
- It’s useful to wait until vendors restock their inventory. Especially the meat vendor, as you’ll need lots of healing items for boss fights. Vendors restock their inventories at midnight 0:00 every night. So if you want to load up on lots of food, you can buy out the whole inventory, sleep till after midnight, buy out the whole inventory again.
