This guide shows all Crimson Desert Crafting Materials that are needed to upgrade equipment (weapons, armor, shields, accessories). At the blacksmith in Hernand pick the Refinement option to upgrade gear. Higher level upgrades require rarer materials and Abyss Artifacts.
Felling trees requires the Logging Axe or the Turning Slash skill. Ore requires the Pickaxe or using Force Palm skill. The Axe and Pickaxe are bought at the Provisioner’s Shop in Hernand.
- Ores are found on mountainsides. Different types of ore are more frequent in specific regions. The ore stays marked on the map once mined and regrows over time. Ore in high-up places can be shot with the “Charged Shot” skill or by climbing up and using Force Palm skill. Ore is used for weapons, plate armor, metal shields, jewelry.
- Hides and Bones are from hunting animals. Different types animals drop different bones and hides (small animals drop small bones, large animals drop large bones etc). These are used for leather armor and jewlry.
- Miscellaneous materials can be obtained through expanding your camp (e.g. Fleece from sheep in your camp’s ranch), or from looting defeated enemies, or simply buying it at Provisioner’s Shop. These are used for Cloaks, soft linen clothes, and jewelry.
- Abyss Artifacts are needed for higher quality upgrades. You get one every time the yellow gauge to the left of the minimap fills up, from defeating enemies. You also get them from completing Challenges and quest rewards.
