News of Victory is the 83rd main mission in Crimson Desert. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the News of Victory main quest.
- Starting Location: Hernand region
- Chapter: 6 – Cracks in the Shield
- Sub-Chapter: The Undying Shields
- Requirement: Finished previous main quest All Quiet on the Front
- Reward: None
- Quest Description: The flames on the beacon roared to life, piercing the dark night sky. This blaze of victory drove back the shadows, offering comfort to the wounded people of Calphade and sending a message of hope that they would rise once more.
Objectives:
- Follow the soldier
- Light the beacon
Follow the soldier
Leave the boss arena and follow the soldier outside the door. Ride with him up the hill, it’s a long ride.
Light the beacon
The ride ends at the beacon on top of the hill.
Walk up the staircase inside the tower. At the top you must light the brazier on fire.
The subobjective will say to light an arrow with a torch, but this is misleading and not necessary. An easier way is to use Concentrating Light to light the brazier: hold

> to focus light at the brazier for a few seconds. Guiding Light also sets objects on fire, so no need to waste arrows.
If you want to use an arrow, you must aim and hold the arrow over one of the torches on the wall.
