Crimson Desert All Duel Challenges

There are 5 Duel Challenges in Crimson Desert. They are part of the Minigame Category. Finishing all Duel Challenges and the other Minigame Sub-Categories unlocks the True Gamer trophy & achievement.

• Crimson Desert Challenges Guide

Duel 1: Steel Fist

• How to Unlock: Automatically unlocked from story in Chapter 4: The Price of Knowledge – Sub-Chapter: Daily Life – Main Quest: Disturbance at the Arena.
  
  
• Challenge: Have a win streak in the unarmed duel x3 & beat the champion
• How to Complete: During Main Quest: Disturbance at the Arena, you will be introduced to the fight pit. From the weapon wheel (hold ) equip only your gloves, then you can talk to the fight host. Win 3 fights in a row and then win the 4th fight against the champion. If you lose a fight the streak resets and you must redo it. You can still return there after the main quest at any time.

Duel 2: Throne of the War God

• How to Unlock: Win an all-out-duel match at Tashkalp (town in south of Crimson Desert region) to unlock this challenge. To talk to the host, you must have bare fists equipped (use D-Pad to open weapon wheel, in top left switch from your tools to your fists)
  
  
• Challenge: Have a win streak in all-out duel x3 & beat the champion
• How to Complete: This is a combination of fist fights and wrestling matches, both are allowed. Simply beat up the opponents using your bare fists. A good strategy is to use the Clothesline skill (from blue skill tree) to knock people down, then keep attacking them with quick fist attacks while they’re downed.

Duel 3: Indomitable Will

• How to Unlock: Win a wrestling match at Scholastone Institute in Hernand to unlock this challenge. To talk to the host, you must have bare fists equipped (use D-Pad to open weapon wheel, in top left switch from your tools to your fists)
  
  
• Challenge: Have a win streak at wrestling x3 & beat the champion
• How to Complete: You must win 3 wrestling matches in a row, then win the 4th match against the champ. If you quit out after a win, you must beat 3 in a row again. You are only allowed to use wrestling moves. Easiest option is to buy the skill “Clothesline” from the blue skill tree, while running at enemies press with + / + / F + Right Click.  This does more damage than the standard Grappling Moves. You can boost the damage by investing skill points into the blue “Grappling” skill.

Duel 4: Dragon’s Fang

• How to Unlock: Participate in the spearsmanship contest in Hernand, located northeast of Lioncrest Manor.
  
  
• Challenge: Have a win streak in the spearmanship contest x3 & beat the champion
• How to Complete: Go to the location and choose to challenge the contest. You must specifically have a Spear equipped in your secondary slot, weapons like halberds or cannons that look and melee attack like spears don’t count, it must be something specifically named a spear, or a unique weapon like Elite Vanguard that mentions it is a lance in the description. Make sure to swap off any armor with automatic effects such as Slashing Reeds if you have them, as hitting the opponent with these effects will cause you to lose the match. You can use Turning Slash, but do not use Imbue Element as this will also cause you to lose the match. After winning 3x in a row you will face the champion, Hector the Impaler. You will get a spear automatically from the story, and sometimes they can be looted from enemies. After chapter 4 you can go to your camp at Howling Hill, check the Lost & Found menu at the Provisions Keeper and check your personal chest in your tent, as spears from enemies often end up there.

Duel 5: Undying Knight

• How to Unlock: Participate in swordsmanship contest in Crimson Desert, located at the arena in Tommaso.
  
• Challenge: Have a win streak in the swordsmanship contest x3 & beat the champion
• How to Complete: The swordsmanship contest is located at the arena in Tommaso, but it must be unlocked first by completing two prior quests. First you must complete the quest The Bonepit, which is the intro to the arena area. This is two all-out fights the same as how the ones at the arena south of town worked, where you can fistfight and use wrestling moves.
  
  After beating two opponents you will receive the quest Duel with the Emperor, which is one more all-out fight against a very strong opponent. This works the same as the prior two fights, but you can’t use wrestling moves against your opponent because he’s too big, so focus on just parrying his attacking and using heavy attacks of your own.
  
  Once you have completed both of these quests, the swordsmanship host becomes available on the upper level of the arena. This duel set works similar to the spearsmanship contest, but you are using your basic sword and shield. None of the opponents are too tough compared to the all-out opponent you fought to reach this.
