The Man Trapped in the Mire is the 22nd main mission in Crimson Desert. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the The Man Trapped in the Mire main quest.
- Starting Location: Hernand region > Springtide Mill
- Chapter: 2 – Golden Greed
- Sub-Chapter: Hernand in Chaos
- Requirement: Finished previous main quest Where Misery Gathers
- Reward: Coins, x1 Standard Inventory Expansion Tool, x5 Cloth Pieces
- Quest Description: A rancher says bandits have cut off the precious horns of his goats. Listen to his story.
Objectives:
- Speak with the enraged man
- Read the memory on the mysterious horn thief
- Find the stolen item
- Return to Ibano
Speak with the enraged man
Head to the objective marker given when you picked up the bounty at the bounty board:
At the marker you will meet the enraged man, Ibano. Speak to him:
Read the memory on the mysterious horn thief
Head to the next destination marked on the map to the East:
When you get to that marker you will see a couple of bandits. Defeat the three of them and then use your lantern ( 
/ :lb) to find the memory fragments. Once you learn the “Hornless Goat” memory hold the Options-Button and in the right sidebar click the bottom icon to view the memory. Alternatively, you can click the Visione helmet from the inventory and manually select the memory from there.
Find the stolen item
On the rock on the campsite you will find a ‘Mysterious Elixir’, pick it up:
Return to Ibano
Ibano will have moved to a farm in Hernand:
Once you get close to Ibano a cutscene will start ending this quest.
This finishes The Man Trapped in the Mire in Crimson Desert.
