Crimson Desert added a storage chest with patch 1.00.03 on March 23, 2026. It was not in the game at launch and was added 3 days after launch. This allows players to store their items, weapons, armor etc by moving it from the inventory to the storage box.
Storage Chest Location
You find the storage chest in Hernand, in the Greymane Camp at Howling Hill, it’s the chest behind the Provisons Keeper NPC. This requires some story progress, you unlock it after finishing Chapter 3 (after Main Quest: Greymanes Reunited).
How to Use Storage Chest
Simply interact with the chest, then an inventory screen comes up where you can move items between the chest and your inventory. The storage chest (also called Private Storage in-game) has 240 inventory slots. However, consumable items stack in the same slot for up to 50 units. So storing 50 meat only uses 1 of 240 slots. Any equipment uses one slot each.
Tip: It’s generally best to keep upgrade materials, food, and weapons/armor in your inventory. These are frequently needed items you want to keep with you. Spend some time doing faction quests that expand your inventory, and buy Small Bags from merchants to increase inventory size. Store any unneeded weapons/armor in the chest, especially the ones you get from bosses, as they can’t be obtained again if you discard them.
