In Monster Hunter World the Odogaron Monster can cause bleeding. This is the only monster in the game that can make you bleed. You encounter it in Rotten Vale later in the story.
When you bleed for the first time, the handler will make a short comment how to stop the bleeding but it’s easy to miss.
How to Stop Bleeding: Put away your weapon by pressing 
/ 
and then press 
/ 
to crouch. Stay perfectly still and don’t move (while crouching)! After 3-4 seconds the bleeding will stop and you see a green healing cloud around your character.
So that’s how easy it is! You don’t need any consumables, just crouch for a moment and you’ll be good to go. Of course, you need to look out that the Odagaron doesn’t hit you in the meantime. Either wait for your Palico to distract it or try your luck but dodge away before it hits you and then crouch again immediately. It’s annoying but luckily no other monster can cause bleeding.
