Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Carrot on a Stick Walkthrough

Carrot on a Stick is a side task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Carrot on a Stick side task.

• Starting Location: Trosky Region > Apollonia
• Quest Giver: Shepherd Smoliek (through Herdsboy Siegfried at end of Sheep among Wolves task)
• Requirement: Completed Mutt > Sheep among Wolves
• Reward: Survival XP, Reputation, 12 Groschen, 1 Cheap wine, 1 Weak Marigold decoction, 2 Bandages, 2 Dried apple, 1 Cooked carrot, 1 Lucky Die
• Quest Type: Task
• Questline: Mutt > Sheep among Wolves > The Lost Sheep > Carrot on a Stick > Hunting the Werewolf
• Quest Description: Stanislav the shepherd bought a new ram, but the ram ran away from him into the forest and he’s afraid to go in there because of wolves.

Objectives:

1. Find the lost ram
2. Take the lost ram to the pen
3. Tell Stanislav how things turned out

Starting Location: Carrot on a Stick

The task will be marked automatically after completing Sheep among Wolves task. The quest marker leads you to Shepherd Stanislav at the fast travel point to Apollonia, east of Troskowitz. Talk to him and say “I was told I can help you” > “I’ll help you”.

You can only talk to him about it after completing Sheep among Wolves.

Find the lost ram

Go to the quest marker in the woods east of Shepherd Stanislav. There on a meadow you find a single sheep. Approach it to get the next objective.

Take the lost ram to the pen

You must walk the sheep all the way back to Shepherd Stanislav. The sheep will automatically follow you if you have a Carrot (food item) in your inventory. You should automatically have some Cooked Carrot at this point, it was given as a reward from Sheep among Wolves & The Lost Sheep.

Walk slowly, you need to stay close to the sheep. If you get too far away it stops following you. To make it more entertaining you can look at the sheep and talk to it. If you keep exhausting the “Chat” option Henry will tell the sheep some jokes.

There will be wolves along the way. If you’re going for Lent trophy/achievement, you must kick them in unarmed combat (without equipping a weapon). This knocks them out without counting as a kill.

When you reach the shepherd you have to walk the sheep into the pen.

Tell Stanislav how things turned out

Talk to questgiver Shepherd Stanislav again.

He rewards you with Survival XP, Reputation, 12 Groschen, 1 Cheap wine, 1 Weak Marigold decoction, 2 Bandages, 2 Dried apple, 1 Cooked carrot, 1 Lucky Die.

If you completed all Shepherd quests (Sheep among Wolves > The Lost Sheep > Carrot on a Stick), then he will mark the final quest Hunting the Werewolf north of Semine.

This finishes Carrot on a Stick side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
