Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Master Schindel’s Toys Walkthrough

Master Schindel’s Toys is a side task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Master Schindel’s Toys side task.

• Starting Location: Kuttenberg Region > Kuttenberg City
• Quest Giver: Bathhouse Owner Adam or Goatskin
• Requirement: Started Main Quest 16: Into the Underworld
• Reward: 225 x Groschen
• Quest Type: Task
• Quest Description: A scholar named Johann Schindel was apparently robbed by Goatskin. If I get back his possessions, he’s sure to reward me.
• Missable Warning: This task is only available during Main Quest 16: Into the Underworld.

Objectives:

1. Talk to Goatskin
2. Take the map of the underground from the hanging thief
3. Find the stolen items in the underground hideout
4. Return the stolen items to Master Schindel

Starting Location: Master Schindel’s Toys

Missable Warning: This task can ONLY be started during Main Quest 16: Into the Underworld. If you don’t speak to Adam and turn down Goatskin’s offer of information then you cannot start this task.

This task is started by speaking with Adam in his bathhouse when you are searching for Goatskin. You must first speak with the Batthouse Madam or else Adam won’t talk to you.

If you miss speaking with Adam here, Goatskin will also offer you the info in exchange if you pass the Thievery skill check option when speaking with him. He won’t offer up the information otherwise, so make sure you speak to Adam before finding him if you don’t have a very high Thievery level. See Goatskin Location.

Talk to Goatskin

If you start the task from Adam, you’ll first need to find Goatskin, you will automatically find him while following the objectives for Main Quest 16: Into the Underworld. If you started this task with Adam, you MUST ask him about Schindel in the first conversation, otherwise, he won’t give you the information unless you passed the skill check mentioned above.

Take the map of the underground from the hanging thief

To find the map, head to the Kuttenberg gallows Point of Interest that is located outside the city to the east.

To reach the body you need to go through the door in the side of the stone building then up the stairs. Then you can loot the Map of Kuttenberg Underground from angel’s body. Make sure to read it from your inventory.

Find the stolen items in the underground hideout

You now need to head to Goatskin’s hideout in the underground, as represented by the goat head on the map.

You can reach the hideout more quickly if you lockpick doors into shop basement, but if you can’t do that you can reach it through the Kuttenberg Underground entrance to the south of the city.

Follow the route on the map above, note that the other drawings represent the doors to shops, and you don’t want to go through any of those. The hideout is just a dead end in the path, where you can interact with the barrel on the ground to pick up the items.

Return the stolen items to Master Schindel

Now to make your way back out of the underground to turn in the items.

Instead of running back the way you came, you can continue north along the underground path and up the nearby ladder. Take the next left and go through the Very Easy locked door to reach the basement of the building that Master Schindel is located in. Head upstairs and give the items to him to complete the task.

This finishes Master Schindel’s Toys side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
