Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Stained Honour Walkthrough

June 20, 2025 by PowerPyx Leave a Comment

Stained Honour is the 8th DLC side quest in the Brushes With Death expansion of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Stained Honour DLC side quest.

  • Starting Location: Kuttenberg Region > Kuttenberg
  • Quest Giver: Master Voyta (Enigmatic Painter)
  • Requirement: Own Brushes With Death DLC and finished The Night-Mare.
  • Reward: Miser’s Cuirass (regardless of whether you defaced the painting or got the gem) / 225 Groschen (if you got the gem) / bonus 1050 Groschen if you do the optional objective with Adela and reveal the bailiff’s plan
  • Quest Type: Side Quest
  • Quest Description: The painter Voyta is busy with preparations for the altar in Sedletz, so he has no time to deal with his smaller commissions. Not even the completed ones that have yet to be paid for.
  • DLC Required: Brushes With Death

Starting Location: Stained Honour

After finishing the quest The Night-Mare, you can talk to the painter again immediately and say “Do you need help with anything else?”, then exhaust all questions.

Alternatively, you can still accept it after completing Man Proposes and God Disposes. For this walkthrough I finished God Disposes first and did Stained Honour after. However, these can be played in either order. It’s of no consequence in what order you play these quests.

The quest is available regardless of whether you killed or scared Bellissimo in The Night-Mare.

Obtain the painter’s promised reward

Voyta complains that the armorer and bailiff didn’t pay him. He’ll deal with the armorer himself and sends you to get the payment from the bailiff in Pschitoky – which he wants in the form of a gem rather than Groschen.

Go to Pschitoky to the west of Kuttenberg and talk to the bailiff, he will be marked on the map. At day he’s usually walking around the town, at night he’s sleeping in the tower in the south-west of Pschitoky.

Go through all his dialogues:

  • I’ve come for the painter’s reward
  • You promised him a gemstone
  • Why do you need that gemstone?
  • What if we made an impression in another way?
  • What do you mean by that?
  • I agree to the duel (Reputation+)

Then you gain access to the two optional objectives. The quest can unfold in different ways here so you may want to keep a Savior Schnapps save.

The quickest way to finish the quest is to pickpocket the bailiff or knock him out while he sleeps at night, then loot the Lapis lazuli gemstone from him. However, for the :bronze: Painted trophy/achievement you should do the optional objective “Deface the painter’s work” (recommended solution). If you do the optional objective with Adela you can get 1050 Groschen when you reveal the bailiff’s plan.

[Solution 1] Deface the painter’s work (Optional) – Trophy: Painted

MISSABLE TROPHY: Painted
You obtain this trophy by simply doing this optional objective, which can be missed if you ignore it.

This objective will be marked. You must go to the tower in the south-west corner of Pschitoky. After entering the tower, go up one floor and enter the bailiff’s room. There will be a painting on the wall next to his bed, which is what he commissioned the painter for.

Approach the painting to get an inspection prompt :l1: / :lb: and press :x: / :a: to paint over it. This will unlock the :bronze: Painted trophy/achievement.

If there’s a guard stationed in front of the door, you can toss stones to distract him, or just run past him and let him see you repaint the wall, then pay a trespassing fine (around 220 Groschen), or run away. If you come at night there shouldn’t be a guard, but the bailiff will be in his room and wakes up when you paint over the wall, but can run away after.

Note: this outcome will give the objective “Tell the painter what happened with the painting”. If you want a quick 1050 Groschen, you can reload the save and do the optional objective with Adela.

[Solution 1] Tell the painter what happened with the painting

If you did the trophy, then you can immediately return to the painter without getting the Lapis lazuli gem. Tell him “I repainted the painting in Pschitoky”.

He gives you Miser’s Cuirass as a reward (no Groschen). Afterward, you can start the next quest “Root of Evil” by saying:

  • How’s your work coming along?
  • What’s going on?
  • Tell me, then
  • (Say nothing)
  • (Say nothing)
  • Could I help you somehow?
  • Shall I go and buy it for you?
  • I’ll brew you that remedy
  • Where can I find Mandrake root?
  • Where to get river pearl?
  • I know everything now

[Solution 2] Find Adela of Mnischek near the willow during the day and insult her (Optional)

Adela will be marked by the “C” objective on the road leading west from Pschitoky. She sits under a willow tree, around noon between 10:00AM – 13:00PM. It should also be sunny weather. If she’s not there, skip time from 10:00AM in 1 hour increments and make sure it’s not raining.

Depending on what you say to her, the quest can play out in two ways: If you insult her and let the bailiff beat you in duel, he gives you the gem as a reward. If you tell her of the bailiff’s plan and defeat the bailiff, Adela gives you 1050 Groschen, but you must steal the gem yourself. Pick whichever you prefer.

Option 1 (Reward: Lapis lazuli gem):

  • (Insult her)
  • “You’ve got a big backside” is the ‘correct’ insult that will anger her the most. The other options will only amuse her, but the outcome will be the same for all choices. The bailiff arrives, let him beat you, then he gives the gem.

Option 2 (Reward: 1050 Groschen):

  • (Reveal the bailiff’s plan)
  • Defeat the bailiff in duel – she will give 1050 Groschen. Then you must pickpocket the Lapis lazuli from the bailiff (easiest while he sleeps)

[Solution 2] Fight the duel with the bailiff (Optional)

If you insulted Adela, you should lose the duel. If you revealed the bailiff’s plan, you should win the duel.

  • If you insulted + lost duel = bailiff gives you Lapis lazuli gem
  • If you insulted + win duel = bailiff won’t give Lapis lazuli, you’ll need to pickpocket it from him
  • If you revealed plan + win duel = 1050 Groschen reward
  • If you revealed plan + lost duel = you don’t get paid and bailiff will be mad, can pass very hard skill checks to convince him to give the gem, otherwise must pickpocket it
  • If you kill Adela = bailiff will fight you to the death (not recommended)

[Solution 2] Deliver the painter’s reward

Return to Voyta in his house in Kuttenberg where the quest started. As a reward he’ll give you 225 Groschen + Miser’s Cuirass. Afterward, you can start the next quest “Root of Evil” by saying:

  • How’s your work coming along?
  • What’s going on?
  • Tell me, then
  • (Say nothing)
  • (Say nothing)
  • Could I help you somehow?
  • Shall I go and buy it for you?
  • I’ll brew you that remedy
  • Where can I find Mandrake root?
  • Where to get river pearl?
  • I know everything now

This finishes Stained Honour quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Brushes with Death DLC.
