Starting Location: Old Plans
This quest starts automatically after the DLC quest Martin’s Dream.
Ask Magdalena about the clock plans
At the forge, speak with Magdalena about the plans she said she was going to look for.
Talk to the bailiff about the astronomical clock
Magdalena suggests you speak to the bailiff while she looks for the plans. During the day he is generally found sitting on the ground floor of the town hall, or in his office on the second floor.
Gain blacksmith prestige
To continue in this quest you need to be at least Forge Prestige level 13. If you’re not there yet, you’ll need to work on the Guild Activities that appear on the map each day until you reach level 13. Make sure to buy something in the Chandelier and Stove slots under the Chamber heading in the forge upgrade menu as soon as they are available, as these each give 10% extra prestige XP gain (all items in these slots give the 10% bonus, so you just need the slots filled with any item).
Once you hit level 13, the objective will update for you to go talk with the bailiff again. You can pick whichever dialogue you like in this interaction, as most of it is just him giving you information on the history with the clock. There is a skill check you can pass to intimidate him into paying you, but this isn’t worth it overall.
Talk to Fabrizio about the clock
This step gets marked as optional if you speak with Magdalena first, but you will need to do it no matter what while doing the clock repairs, so you can talk to him first on the way back across town. Fabrizio should be on the upper floor of his house on the west side of Kuttenberg.
You can pass a skill check with him to explain who you are, pick whichever you have the highest skill level in. You can then go through the rest of the dialogue with him choosing whichever options you want and he’ll give you more information on his history and what occurred with the clock.
Return to Magdalena
You can then return to Magdalena at the forge, and she’ll hand over the plans she found and suggest you speak with the gunsmith Prokop Eldris.
Talk to Eldris about the weights
Go over to the gunsmith shop and speak with Eldris about casting the weights. He’ll tell you that his apprentice Pushko is missing, so agree to help find him.
Visit the parish priest (Optional)
Eldris suggests you speak with the priest in Grund for more information. You can skip this step if you want and go right to the next one to find Pushko. When you speak with him there is a speech skill check to get more information out of him, but this also isn’t required as he’ll tell you the location he saw Pushko walk to before that point.
Find Pushko
The priest will tell you that he saw Pushko walking into the forest west of Grund. Go to the final section of forest to the west where he will be sitting right near the edge. Speak to him and he’ll explain what’s going on.
Get Pushko’s horse
No matter what you’ll end up agreeing to get Pushko’s horse back from the woodcutters. Head to the camp directly south of the forest.
Talk to the foreman of the woodcutters (Optional)
If you want to get the horse back without stealing it or resorting to violence, you can speak with the foreman of the camp (speaking with any of the other workers and asking about the horse will point you toward the foreman).
You’ll have a few options for how to deal with the foreman. You can directly pay 1000 groschen for the horse back, pass either a Persuasion or Intimidation check, or bet him 500 for it. If you have Persuasion or Intimidation close to 30 then you can pick either of those options to talk him into giving you the horse.
Bring the horse to Pushko
Whichever way you have resolved the problem, get on the horse and ride it back to Pushko where he was on the edge of the forest.
Talk to Pushko
Speak with Pushko about what happened, then you can choose to go back with him to Kuttenberg immediately.
When you arrive there will be a scene where you talk with Eldris about what happened. You can pick whichever option you like, but “Was fleeing bandits” comes off the most convincing.
Talk to Pushko about the casting
After the scene is complete you can then speak with Pushko about the casting. You should pick the option “Come and work for me” to have Pushko come to your forge, or you’ll have to pay for the casting and he won’t immediately come to work for you as a journeyman. You also need to have built the Foundryman’s shelter or Foundryman’s workshop in the Garden area of the forge for him to cast the weights.
Wait until the weights are done
If you’ve asked Pushko to come work for you he should appear at the forge by the end of the day, then you’ll need to wait one in-game day for him to make the weights. You can use the day to work on other guild activities.
Once they’re done, speak with Pushko again and he’ll have finished the weights, which completes the quest and immediately starts the next story quest.
This finishes Old Plans quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Legacy of the Forge DLC.
