Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 The German’s Treasure Walkthrough

February 4, 2025 by Gage 3 Comments

The German’s Treasure is a task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The German’s Treasure side task.

  • Starting Location: Kuttenberg Region > Kuttenberg City > Hole in the Wall Tavern
  • Quest Giver: Rat
  • Requirement: Complete Beyond the Grave task
  • Reward: Up to 295 x Groschen if you sell the items at the end of the task
  • Quest Type: Task
  • Questline: Feast for the Poor > (Civic Duty) > The Thieves’ Code > (Beyond the Grave > The German’s Treasure) > The Spark
  • Quest Description: The Guild wants to show it has long arms, long enough to reach Kuttenberg innkeeper Beikovetz, who supports King Sigismund.

Objectives:

  1. Find the treasure
  2. Take the goods to a trafficker

Starting Location: The German’s Treasure

To start this quest, speak with Rat at the Hole in the Wall tavern in Kuttenberg city after you have completed Beyond the Grave and ask her for more work.

Find the treasure

Rat suggests you steal treasure from the All Saints Tavern located in the center of Kuttenberg.

The treasure is located in the basement, so the easiest way to reach it is through the Kuttenberg underground. If you have completed Yackers ‘n’ Fash side quest with the miners you will have already entered this location, as it is where you needed to enter the tavern to speak with Joerg.

You will need to wait until nighttime (if you try to enter during the day the miners will be awake sitting in the basement). To enter, start through the Kuttenberg underground entrance near the river.

Follow the path up the water, sticking to the right. Pass through the Wasteland POI, then climb the ladder to reach the Underground Crossroads POI. Immediately in front of you at the top of that ladder is the entrance to the tavern basement.

Pick the lock on the door to enter. If you are there at night, Joerg will probably come and check the door. If he does you can try backing away immediately, and he won’t notice. If he stays standing behind the door facing the wall, you can knock him out so that you don’t need to worry about him.

However you deal with the miners, you should then open the chest on the left when you enter. Inside the chest take the Bloodied wedding dress item.

You can then go through the door on the right immediately when you enter the cellar. In the corner is a broken wall like you pulled open in the previous task. Interact with it to open the wall. There is also a Very Hard locked chest in this room. If you can pick it open, take the Old painted statuette item from it too.

Once the wall is open, interact with the spot the bricks were removed from and take all three items.

Take the goods to a trafficker

You can then make your way back out of the underground (either sneak up through the tavern or go back where you entered) then head to the tavern out the west side of Kuttenberg.

Here speak with the Innkeeper and tell her Rat sent you, then give her the password “I’ll have a big-eyed monkey“.

She’ll say that the items aren’t worth much because they are in fact all junk. You can pass a speech check to convince her to take the items anyway, then haggle for the price she pays. Whatever decision you make this completes the task.

This finishes The German’s Treasure side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

You failed to mention that with the two maps you find in the basement, you get a few thousand groshen worth of items if you follow both maps, way more than anything you get inside the basement itself.

You can take the crap from the Inn and accuse the innkeeper of his wifes murder, and buying off his sins… but it deas nothing beside loosing some rep with him.

According to the Innkeeper’s vague confession it was his younger brother who murdered his wife. He loved her. But his dirty works ruined her.
