Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Civitas Pragensis Walkthrough

Civitas Pragensis is the 26th main quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Civitas Pragensis main story quest.

Talk to Zizka

This is a very short quest – you first celebrate your successful heist, then can choose to duel Erik or end the quest immediately. At the start you talk to Zizka at the Suchdol castle wall. He tells you that Sigismund’s army retreated.

Exhaust all questions, doesn’t matter in what order.

Say goodbye to Rosa

Rosa is waiting at the exit of Suchdol, where the horses are. On the way to you get two optional objectives to talk to other people:

Speak with Janosh (Optional): is found in the courtyard sitting by the gate, will be marked. He only has 1 dialogue option.

Sit with the others (Optional): Dry Devil and the others are in the courtyard sitting at a table. To gain reputation say “to the fallen”. Exhaust the remaining questions in any order.

If you completed the romance with Rosa, she will kiss you goodbye. After talking to her you get a cutscene and Kubyenka talks to you. What you say here doesn’t matter, Kubyenka tells you that Erik wants to duel you. Even if you say “F* his message” or “No I’m staying here”, you can still change your mind in the next step.

IMPORTANT MOMENT – DUELING ERIK OR NOT:

What you do next determines if you will duel Erik or not. This is missable, it’s by far the hardest fight in the game. If you don’t go to the duel the quest ends immediately. If you do go to the duel you fight Erik and get extra cutscenes. The recommended “complete” experience is to accept the duel. You can either tell Zizka you accept/refuse the duel, or talk to the guard at the gate immediately to go to the duel. The duel is extremely challenging, if you get stuck you can still reload an earlier autosave and skip it.

Speak with Zizka about Erik (Optional)

Zizka stands in the courtyard, you can talk to him before talking to the guard. Tell him Erik challenged you to a duel.

• “I will accept” locks you into dueling Erik. You then talk to the guard at the gate to leave for the duel.
• “I’ll refuse his challenge” > “No. I don’t want to kill him” locks you out of dueling Erik, you then follow Zizka to the gate and the quest ends immediately.

Speak with the guard to let you out and respond to Erik’s challenge / Follow Zizka and find out what’s going on

If you accepted the duel, talk to the guard at the gate and tell him to let you leave. If you refused the duel, you will instead need to follow Zizka to the gate.

Before going to the duel you can use the sharpening stone at the stables to repair your weapons. Make sure you’re at full health, can eat food or potions to heal. Buy any useful combat perks you have available.

[If Duel Accepted] Defeat Erik

You will get a cutscene where Henry arrives at Sigismund’s old camp to duel Erik. You talk to Erik before the duel, if you win the skill check it will lower his stats which makes him slightly easier to defeat: “You’re a wretch (Provoke and Attack)”.

He is by far the toughest opponent in the game. He can take a lot of hits, the fight will go on for a long time. Be patient and avoid taking any damage. If you find this too difficult you can reload an autosave from earlier and decline the duel.

No matter if you did the duel or not you’ll end up with a cutscene where Markvart von Aulitz besieges Suchdol on behalf of Sigismund. Turns out his army didn’t really retreat and instead is coming for you to get the silver back. When the siege begins the next quest starts.
