Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 How to sell Stolen Items

February 3, 2025 by PowerPyx Leave a Comment

In Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (KCD2) any stolen items will have a red hand icon on them. Merchants generally don’t accept stolen goods, but there are a few ways you can still sell them.

Method 1: Wait until item no longer counts as stolen

Simply put the stolen items in your player chest, found next to any bed you own. For example, you can go to any inn and pay for a bed for the long term. Then next to your bed you find the player chest. What you put in there is shared between all your player chests at every bed. You also unlock a few beds automatically from story progress and side quests.

Now wait 1-2 in-game weeks. Then the stolen icon will disappear and you can sell the items freely to merchants.

Method 2: Sell stolen items to a Fence

Fences will accept stolen items. You can find Fence Whitebeard in the Nomda’s Camp, west of Troskowitz. However, the downside is that he has only around 240 Groschen. His money refreshes after a while.

Method 3: Speech Skill “Partner in Crime”

At Speech Level 20 you can buy the skills “Hustler” + “Partner in Crime”. Then you can sell stolen goods to any regular merchant.

The Speech skill increases passively any time you talk to people and when you pass skill checks. It will take a while to reach Level 20 so this is something for the late game.

For the early game, selling items to Fence Whitebard is sufficient. You can fast travel to the Nomad’s Camp by clicking on the blue shield icon on the map. For the later game, it’s better to store items in the chest and wait for the stolen status to cool off. In larger towns like Kuttenberg you can offload thousands of Groschen worth of items in one go, the traders there have around 500+ Groschen each and there are many traders close together.

Note that if you commit crimes and guards search you, they can find stolen items and take them from you.
