Starting Location: Seek and you Shall Find
Automatically starts when the DLC quest Silent Witnesses ends.
Consult the monastery librarian
Go to the library in the south of the monastery and talk to Librarian Crispin: “I came across a Jerusalem cross” > “What kind of relic was it?” > “I’d like to see those travel records” > “The Abbot knows (Lie)”. Passing the Speech skillcheck gives the same result as lying.
Note: if you haven’t done the missable task Foreseeing Evil yet, you can start it with non-skillcheck option “I’ll help you to protect yourself from the illness”.
Study the travel journal of Boleslav Bavor / Examine excerpts from monastery accounts
After the talk, you see the two books in front of you on the bookstands. Flip through all pages of both books.
Discuss the findings with Crispin
What you say to Crispin doesn’t matter, the outcome is always the same and he gives the sketch regardless. Winning the skillchecks only gives extra reputation with Sedletz Monastery and some extra lines of dialogue, picking the non-skillchecks doesn’t have any disadvantages.
Easiest way is to skip all skillchecks: “What did you do next?” > “Why would he lie?” > “And what about the mural?” > “That’s not too surprising” > “Bavor’s wealth” > “Can be” > “A hidden chmaber in the crypt” > “The world is full of mysteries” > “Too many things don’t add up here” > “We’ll unravel this mystery together” (Reputation+) > “The workers didn’t have it”.
Examine the sketch from Crispin
Go to inventory > Books > Maps > Boleslav Bavor’s coat of arms sketch. Remember this symbol, it looks like an arrow pointing up to the left.
Find the mural of Boleslav Bavor
Boleslav Bavor’s Mural is found inside the church on the main floor (NOT underground in the crypt). On the east edge of the church there are colorful paintings (murals) on the walls under the windows where you can pray. Bavor’s mural is the third from the right, the one with an angel holding his crest (arrow pointing left). Get close and interact with the mural.
Henry will point out there’s an inescutcheon on it. This is mandatory to find the relic later.
Return to the monastery crypt
Remember to equip your Plague Hood from Prevention to not get infected!
Go down the hole in the church floor. If there’s a guard nearby you can throw stones to distract him. There’s another guard down there but he’s looking at the corner and you can sneak past him to enter the crypt. Close the door behind you and equip a torch to see in the dark.
Find Boleslav Bavor’s tomb in the monastery crypt
Climb over the hole in the left wall that you made earlier (Bug warning: if Henry just jumps against the wall and doesn’t climb through, try rebooting the game). Go through the narrow tunnel, as soon as you exit the tunnel open the first sarcophagus on the left. This is Boleslav Bavor’s tomb. It has the arrow icon at the bottom of it. It’s the tomb straight across from the exit.
Consult Cripsin about what to do next
Exit the crypt by climbing the broken wall across from Boleslav’s tomb. There will be a dead guard on the floor, loot his armor, it will come in handy later. Don’t wear it in public as it will be recognized as a stolen good.
The left tunnel exit connects straight back to the library, just head in the direction of the objective marker. Talk to Crispin again: “Someone was watching me!” > “I don’t think so” > “Be careful!” (Reputation+) > “Being moved sounds more likely” > “Where could Bavor have been moved?”.
What you say doesn’t really matter. Even if you suggest to search the consecrated grounds, Henry will remember these are locked off, so the objective always defaults to the infirmary church graveyard.
Search the graveyard near the infirmary church
Head through the gate slightly east of the infirmary towards the Woodland Garden (if the infirmary gate is locked, try advancing time to day). Halfway towards the Woodland Garden, there’s a hard difficulty locked door on the right.
You find the infirmary graveyard key hanging at the door in the Drying Rack shed, next to the Herbalist’s house.
Use it to open the locked door. Boleslav’s Grave is the first one on the right. Interact with it to clean off the bushes, then examine it again and Henry will point out the crest icon.
Dig up Boleslav’s grave
There’s a spade to the right of the grave leaning against the wall, next to the door. Grab the spade and interact with the grave again to dig it up.
Examine Boleslav’s grave
Examine the body inside the grave. Loot Boleslav Bavor’s sword from the body.
Equip the sword and the armor you looted from the dead guard earlier. After you loot the relic a fight will start.
To find the relic, look at the silver cross on the sarcophagus left of the grave. The prompt “Examine the sarcophagus” will appear in the bottom right. If the prompt doesn’t appear, you must first do objective Find the mural of Boleslav Bavor for Henry to recognize the mural. Only after this you can interact with it.
Examining the sarcophagus gives you the True Cross splinter reliquary and unlocks the
Holy Relic trophy/achievement.
Fight off the attackers!
3 men will come to attack you. What dialogue you pick doesn’t matter, it will always result in a fight.
Kill all of them. You can loot their weapons before leaving the graveyard.
Inform Crispin
As soon as you exit the graveyard, the church guards will automatically arrest you. What you say to them doesn’t matter, they will always take you to the Abbot.
Defend your actions before the Abbot
There are a few different outcomes here which will affect some objectives in the final quest The Time has Come. Telling the truth is recommended, this allows you to get a free armor during the final quest.
- Being truthful and giving relic to Abbot = The Abbot will help you in the final quest and you gain reputation.
- Truth option: “Yes, it was” > “It’s connected to the workers”.
- Being caught lying (fail a skillcheck or admit to lying) = The Abbot is less willing to help you in the final quest and you lose reputation.
- Being caught option: “Unfortunately (Lie)” > “I apologise, I’ve got the relic on me” > “We don’t know”.
- Lying and passing all skillchecks = you get to keep the relic which skips 3 objectives in the final quest. You gain reputation from winning the skillchecks. They won’t be mad at you because they don’t figure out you lied.
- Lie option: “Unfortunately (Lie)” > “Speech Skillcheck: The relic wasn’t there (Lie)” [confirmed to succeed at 24 Speech] > “Thievery Skillcheck: It was empty (Lie)” [confirmed to succeed at 22 Thievery]
Either way, he will accept that you had to kill the attackers in self-defense and you are escorted back to the infirmary (this is fine and DOESN’T void
Quiet as a Church Mouse). The quest ends immediately after.
This finishes Seek and you Shall Find quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC.

Must be bugged for me as I can’t climb back through that hole in the wall I made
Gnillisch says
I’m having a bug on this one as the game won’t let me go through the hole again to reach the further part of the crypt. I tried reloading a previous save and still no way to get through.
Am I missing something maybe? I looked at the mural, looked at the sketch and all that.
PowerPyx says
I got this on PS5 too with patch 1.50, Henry just jumped against the wall. I fixed it by rebooting the game, then it let me climb through. Let me know if that works for you.
You don’t need to interact with anything in the first crypt room to climb through. I didn’t have the issue on PC over multiple playthroughs.
Gnillisch says
Hey Pyx, after testing it out on two accounts where the bug happened, I can confirm that rebooting the game fixes the error on ps5 on the latest patch! (:
Zancle says
There is a bug for me, I can’t pick up Bavor Sword, the animation of Herny picking up the relique and the sword won’t start, and the screen stutters a little bit. Luky me I still got the achievement at least.
