The Diving Mask is an unlockable item in Horizon Forbidden West (HZFW). It allows you to hold your breath infinitely underwater and dive to extreme depths.
How to Unlock Diving Mask (Infinite Underwater Breath): It is automatically unlocked during the 11th Main Quest “The Sea of Sands“, during Objective “Craft the Diving Mask”. This is a mandatory story objective and cannot be missed. So simply advance the story to this point and you’ll get the Diving Mask.
How to Use Diving Mask: It behaves like a passive “perk” and is equipped automatically whenever you enter water. There’s no need to equip it manually. It makes underwater exploration much easier because you can dive anywhere and for as long as you want. You won’t have to watch your breath anymore.
