Relic Ruins: The Long Coast is a collectible in Horizon Forbidden West. This walkthrough will guide you through all steps of The Long Coast Relic Ruins.
Location – Relic Ruins: The Long Coast
Walkthrough – Relic Ruins: The Long Coast
Step 1: Start in the north-east of the ruins. There are some yellow climbable ledges around the inner corner of the ruins. Climb across them to reach a room with a firegleam.
Step 2: Destroy the firegleam to break the wall.
Step 3: Stand where the wall was and use your pullcaster on the switch through the hole in the other wall ( + > hold ).
Step 4: Immediately after pulling the switch, head out the room and double jump up to the grapple point. It only stays there a few seconds after using the switch. If you’re too slow you must pull the switch again. From the grapple point press to jump over to the balcony with a crate on it.
Step 5: Push the crate down the balcony, then push it forward to the right and drop it to the jungle area below.
Step 6: The crate will land in the water. Use pullcaster to pull it out.
Step 7: Push it up the path and then into the elevator on the left side (dark elevator shaft).
Step 8: In the same area you’ll notice a battery wall socket. You need to head up the staircase here to find the battery charge.
Step 9: Take the battery from the charger upstairs to the wall socket downstairs, insert the battery. This is timed, if you take too long you must reinsert it into the charger and try again.
Step 10: This will power on the elevator to the left of the battery wall socket. Press the green button in the elevator, leading you to the tower upstairs.
Step 11: Climb the yellow ledges up the tower (backside of tower).
Step 12: At the top, look towards the east and you’ll see a 2nd crate in the distance. You must jump off the tower and glide to it, hold to glide.
Step 13: After landing at the 2nd crate, first destroy the firegleam at the wall. This removes the wall.
Step 14: Now push the crate through the wall where the firegleam was and drop it down to the area with the battery socket. Sometimes the crate gets stuck, just wiggle it around or use pullcaster on it to get it unstuck.
Step 15: Place the 2nd crate in the elevator too. Now you have both crates in the elevator. Press elevator button to get upstairs with both crates.
Step 16: Inside the elevator use the pullcaster on the elevator roof to rip it off. You can climb through there to get to the roof of the elevator. However, you need to place the 2nd crate on the elevator rooftop to climb up further. So our goal is now to have 1 crate inside the elevator to climb to the elevator roof, then the 2nd crate on the elevator rooftop to climb the ledges above.
Step 17: Leave 1 crate inside the elevator, push the other crate outside upstairs (not downstairs). Press the elevator button again. When the elevator reaches the bottom you drop the crate from the floor above onto its roof. You can return to the upper floor by taking the staircase where the battery charger was, or the grapple point above the battery socket.
Step 18: Press the elevator button yet again to bring the elevator back up to the upper floor. Now we have everything in place – elevator at upper floor, 1 crate in elevator, 1 crate on elevator roof. Climb the crate inside the elevator to reach the elevator roof. Then climb the 2nd crate on the elevator roof to reach the yellow climbable ledges. Climb up to reach the relic. All done!
