First to Fly is an Errand Quest in Horizon Forbidden West (HZFW). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the First to Fly side mission.
Location: The Bulwark
Quest Giver: Serivva and Kettah
Quest Level: Level 32
Requirement: Finished Main Quest 16: The Wings of the Ten
Reward: 5000 XP, 1 Skill Points, Tenakth Sky Climber Armor (Very Rare)
Mission Info: A Sky Clan soldier, Ferikka, was carried off by a Stormbird and crashed on a mountaintop. Her armor is still up there, inaccessible to even the best climbers.
Objectives:
- Fly to the Mountaintop
- Recover Ferikka’s Armor
- Kill the Stormbird
- Return to Kettah and Serivva
- Repair Ferikka’s Armor
Starting Location: The Bulwark
Fly to the Mountaintop
Using a Sunwing (Flying Mount), head to the mountaintop north-east where the objective marker is.
Recover Ferikka’s Armor / Kill the Stormbird
At the mountaintop you will get a yellow search area on the map. There are 4 Ferikka Armor Piece Locations, collect them all:
Ferikka Armor Piece #1: In the south of the search area, near the edge of the cliffs.
Ferikka Armor Piece #2: After picking up any one of the armor pieces, a Stormbird will appear. Kill it and loot its body for the 2nd armor piece.
Ferikka Armor Piece #3: In the western half of the search area, at the edge of the cliffs.
Ferikka Armor Piece #4: In the south-west corner of the search area, at the edge of the cliffs.
Recover Ferikka’s Armor
The remaining two Armor pieces are both in the western part of this are.
Return to Kettah and Serivva / Repair Ferikka’s Armor
Now head back to The Bulwark, talk to Ketta and Serivva and repair the Armor at the Workbench to finish this mission. Repairing it doesn’t cost any additional resources, only consumes the 4 Ferikka Armor Pieces. As a reward you get the armor “Tenakth Sky Climber”.

So I tried this mission early. Took the glider, went to the top of a mountain and got on top. Armor is not there. You have to take the Sunwing otherwise the armor doesn’t load in the quest.
I was able to glide here from the mluntain top southwest of the search area without even knowing there were flying mounts, and my objective says to find the 4 armor pieces, but they simply do not spawn. Hopefully if I come back later it is fixed.
Same here, bit of a bug I guess, mission was on hold first but then I noticed it was not anymore, not sure when it happens but I haven’t gotten this far in the story. I glided from just north of the settlement below the mountain top. The objectiveto fly to the mountaintop is marked completed,but the armor is nowhere to be found
You can get to the mountain top without a Stormbird, but mission will not load unless you use said Stormbird to reach area.
