Thirst for the Hunt is a Side Quest in Horizon Forbidden West (HZFW). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Thirst for the Hunt side mission.
Location: Arrowhand
Quest Giver: Drakka
Quest Level: Level 17
Requirement: Finished Main Quest 7: The Eye of the Earth
Reward: 5670xp, 2 Skill Points, 1 Tenakth Vanquisher
Mission Info: Drakka seeks to obtain machine hearts so that his village can trade for water with the clan’s capital. Without the help of a seasoned machine hunter, his people will die of thirst.
Objectives:
- Meet Drakka at the Outpost
- Follow Drakka
- Kill the Machines
- Gather Machine Hearts
- Follow Draka
- Kill the Burrowers
- Kill the Thunderjaw
- Gather the Thunderjaw’s Hearts
- Talk to Drakka
- Return to Arrowhand
Starting Location: Arrowhand
Meet Drakka at the Outpost
Proceed to the quest marker and talk to Drakka.
Follow Drakka
Follow Draka and he will lead you to the next objective, just around the corner and up a short path from where you are, then talk to him again.
Kill the Machines
Climb up the wall just ahead and go in to the next area with the machines, kill them.
Gather Machine Hearts
Loot the 4 machines you just killed for their hearts, then take them to Drakka who is at the start of the area, close to where you climbed up, just behind you inspecting a corpse.
Follow Drakka
Proceed to follow Drakka again to another new area.
Kill the Burrowers
Some dialogue here will automatically start with another survivor when you reach this area, you will be attacked by some burrowers, kill them.
Kill the Thunderjaw
A thunderjaw will then spawn, you can make quick work of it by shooting one of it’s disc launchers off it’s back and using that to finish it off.
Gather the Thunderjaw’s Heart
Now loot the Thunderjaw that you just killed.
Talk to Drakka
Talk to Drakka again just a short distance away.
Return to Arrowhand
Return to Arrowhand and talk to Jetakka to hand over the hearts and finish the quest.
This finishes Thirst for the Hunt Side Quest in Horizon 2: Forbidden West. The next part of this questline “The Wound in the Sand” starts automatically after this.
