Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 The Voivode’s Curse Walkthrough

The Voivode’s Curse is a task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Voivode’s Curse side task.

• Quest Giver: Aranka
• Requirement: Complete Miri Fajta
• Reward: Vagrant Hat, 45 x Groschen
• Quest Type: Task
• Questline: Miri Fajta > The Voivode’s Curse
• Quest Description: Aranka from the nomads’ camp told me that the Voivode had been cursed. She gave me soot water in which I am supposed to quench the sabre so that I can transfer the curse that has been dissolved in the water since the Voivode washed in it.

Objectives:

1. Forge the sabre
2. Kill a dog with the sabre

Starting Location: The Voivode’s Curse

At the Nomad’s Camp after completing Miri Fajta, you can speak with Aranka and she will ask you to forge a sabre.

Forge the sabre

You will need to head to a blacksmith station like the one in Tachov, where you can first forge the sabre Aranka has requested. You will automatically have the recipe along with the Charcoal water she provides. You also need:

• 1 x Iron
• 1 x Deer skin
• 1 x Copper
• 1 x Fastening material
• 2 x Steel

You can purchase everything except the Deer skin from the Tachov blacksmith. Deer skin isn’t as easy to find, but you can purchase it either from Hired Hand Kabat in Trosky Castle (the man you speak to about horses in MQ7, unmarked but he is normally sitting in the same spot during the day) or from the Tanner at Vidlak Pond if you don’t have access to the castle yet (speak to the Tanner’s wife to trade).

When forging the sabre remember to hammer up and down along the edges and flip the saber while forging. You can ask the blacksmith for more practice if you feel you need to before working on the sabre.

Kill a dog with the sabre

Now Aranka wants you to kill a dog with the forged sabre to complete the spell on it. If you are going for the Lent trophy/achievement DO NOT DO THIS. You can immediately return to Aranka at the camp instead (she won’t be marked, you will have to look for her) and tell her you have forged the sabre and lie about killing a dog with it.

Doing this completes the task successfully and you earn your reward.
