Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Striped Tonies Walkthrough

Striped Tonies is a side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Striped Tonies side mission.

• Starting Location: Kuttenberg Region > Kuttenberg City > Black Horse Tavern
• Quest Giver: Foreman Vlach
• Requirement: Complete Yackers ‘n’ Fash side quest
• Reward: 175 x Groschen (if you return with both gifts for Tess) + 175 x Groschen, Map of Kuttenberg underground, Scholarship XP, Craftsmanship XP
• Quest Type: Side Quest
• Questline: Yackers ‘n’ Fash > (Tragedy in Danemark) > Striped Tonies > Popinjay Shoot
• Quest Description: The Striped Tonies invited me to a traditional procession with a ceremonial miner’s standard. The consecration of the miners’ banners always precedes the famous shooting competition of the Kuttenberg miners. A nice leisurely stroll. What could happen?

Objectives:

1. Go to the Hoprink Church tomorrow morning
2. Talk to the miners by the church

4. Talk to Anton

6. Return to Franzi

8. Talk to Anton in the tavern

Starting Location: Striped Tonies

After completing Yackers ‘n’ Fash Foreman Vlach will have a new quest objective, but you will need to wait until evening again and speak with him at the Black Horse Tavern.

NOTE: This quest is very time-sensitive. When you agree to start the quest you must meet up with the miners the next in-game day for the first objective, if you miss this you instantly fail the quest. Make sure you are ready to do this before you accept the quest.  You also have to finish the whole quest before the end of the day, so make sure not to wait around during objectives.

Go to the Hoprink Church tomorrow morning

After accepting to start the quest, you MUST show up at the Hoprink Church in the southeast of Kuttenberg the next in-game day before 12:00. If you wait until after 12:00 you immediately fail the quest with no option to try again, so make sure you make it there early.

Talk to the miners by the church

If you arrive early this objective will start, but the miners won’t be here yet. Wait until just after 7:00 if needed and then they should be standing outside on the north side of the building.

Accompany and protect Anton

After speaking with them, they’ll start off toward the next church. You can hit to automatically follow after them at their pace. You can feel free to respond to them how you like along the way.

Talk to Anton

The pair will automatically stop when you reach the church, and you can speak with Anton to continue. During the conversation, you must select “I’d like to get my revenge on Preng.” to start the next objective which is required for the trophy/achievement Under a Brown Flag  .

Hang up the braies

You are tasked with hanging the dirty braies under the window on the Saints’ tavern, located across the street to the west of where you currently are. Go into the tavern, then up the stairs to the second floor. Make sure to start crouching when you are going up the stairs, as everything above the first floor is counted as a private area.

On the second floor go through the door on the right, then through the next door in that room. Immediately turn around to find a ladder in the corner which allows you to reach the third floor.

Now go to the open window on the front of the building and interact with it to hang the braies, earning Under a Brown Flag 

Return to Franzi

Now with the underwear hung, you can carefully make your way back downstairs to Franzi and Anton outside. If you do get spotted on your way out it isn’t as big of a deal, just don’t hang around and leave immediately before anyone inside gets too angry. In the next conversation, the guys suggest going for a beer, but even if you suggest otherwise they are going to as they say it’s along the way.

Accompany and protect Anton

You can return to automatically following the pair. After a while they will stop to argue with some of the Saints, and they get into a fist fight. You must also participate and deal with them to protect Anton. It’s the same group as you encounter during the prior quest, so watch out for Preng who is the strongest fighter. Focus on him to keep him off Anton. He puts in a lot of work with the standard though so they should go down relatively quickly.

Talk to Anton in the tavern

Anton will then say you should hurry away, and you can continue automatically following as he heads to the Stripes’ tavern. Speak with him after he sits down at the table. The boys will talk about Anton’s girl, and you are roped into helping get a couple of gifts to give to her while they watch the standard.

Pick flowers for Tess

First, head to the east side of the city where you will be picking some flowers. There are two options for getting into this area: either picking a hard lock on a door to the south, or climbing on some barrels to climb over the wall to the north.

In the garden make sure to crouch, as there is a dog and a sleeping gardener in the middle of the area. The flowers you need to pick are near to the gardener, so carefully climb the fence to reach them. Once you have them you can climb on some more barrels to exit over the wall to the south.

Get the perfume

Next, you will need to get the perfume, which you can find out about by speaking to a woman named Else. You can find her inside the Cobbler shop in the back.

To get the perfume from her you need to pass one of a few possible skill checks to get her to give you the perfume. The initial Alchemy one can be passed at a level of 16, or if you choose the first option in the dialogue you can pass either a Persuasion or Compassion check of a similar level. When you successfully pass any of them she will give you a bottle of the perfume.

Return to Franzi with the gift

Once you have one or both gifts, you can return to Franzi. Depending on how long you’ve taken Franzi might have started walking on his own, so he may not be at the tavern. Be sure to check where he is instead of going straight back to the tavern. Franzi will give you 175 x Groschen if you return with both gifts. Continue agreeing to help in the next conversation with Franzi.

Carry Anton away

Anton got drunk while you were gone, so now you are going to have to carry him to the final church. Pick him up off the ground with .

If Franzi walked away he will walk back to the tarven first, then you can continue automatically following him to the next location. When you stop, agree to take the oath instead of Anton.

The next steps are timed responses where you are repeating after Anton. Choose the following:

• We swear before God, that we will open the shafts without malice and mine the vein honestly according to the law of God.
• We vow to work hard, listen to the foreman and duly hand over the ore.
• We swear to not mine silver on the feast day and give a few groschen to the church.

You can only make one mistake without angering the priest, so make sure to respond carefully. Once you have done this successfully the quest is complete, and you automatically receive the task Popinjay Shoot.
