Battle of the Frogs and Mice is a side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Battle of the Frogs and Mice side mission.

Truce trophy/achievement (if you have Bailiff Thrush stop the dispute) - Quest Type: Side Quest
- Questline: Frogs > Mice > Battle of the Frogs and Mice
- Quest Description: Every year, disputes over the pasture between Tachov and Zhelejov culminate in the men from both villages getting together, arguing, and punching each other in the mouth. But this year, they’ll have a guest from Skalitz to share in the glory.
Objectives:
- Go to the pasture with Olbram/Prochek
- Talk to Bailiff Thrush (optional)
- Read the chronicle at the Troskowitz Rathaus
- Find the border nail in the pasture
- Tell Trush you found the border nail (optional)
- Speak to Thrush/Olbram/Prochek
Starting Location: Battle of the Frogs and Mice
This quest starts after completing either side quest Frogs or Mice once you speak with either Olbram or Prochek and ask them what they are doing next. They will tell you about the battle in the pasture. The order that’s confirmed for finishing all 3 quests in the same playthrough is Frogs > Mice > Battle of the Frogs and Mice.
Go to the pasture with Olbram/Prochek
When you speak with either Olbram or Prochek if you want to earn the Truce trophy/achievement you MUST first choose the option “Wouldn’t you rather make up?” > “First I’ll try to sort out this conflict”. This then gives the second objective which is required to earn the trophy.
Talk to Bailiff Thrush (optional)
You can then go to Troskowitz and speak with Bailiff Thrush and select the option “The conflict between Tachov and Zhelejov”.
You can then ask him a few questions and convince him to intervene with your help.
Read the chronicle at the Troskowitz Rathaus
Head into the Rathaus and the room on the left, then interact with the green book on the stand in the corner. Flip through all the pages to read through it.
Find someone who speaks Latin (optional)
You can talk to Scribe Gaibl who sits in the Rathaus next to the green book (at day), say “I need to translate something from Latin” > “Fecit ordinem in region ope clavi ferrei”. He translates that the phrase is talking about a nail, which you need to find in the next objective.
Find the border nail in the pasture (Optional)
The book tells about the border nail that denotes the actual middle of the pasture, so you can head over to find it.
The tree with the nail is located almost exactly where the objective marker is in the center of the pasture. Interact with the nail on the tree to examine it.
You have the option to move the nail to a different tree if you want to favor one or the other town, but to earn Truce you should leave it in the middle tree where you found it (don’t pull it out).
Tell Trush you found the border nail (optional)
You can then go back to Troskowitz and speak with Bailiff Thrush about the nail. You can then go back and speak with either Olbram or Prochek who you started the quest with and tell them you are ready to go to the pasture. You will automatically travel there with them.
If you had found the nail and reported it to Thrush, he will show up and interrupt the fight before it starts. Push them to make up, ending the conflict and awarding Truce .
Speak to Thrush/Olbram/Prochek
Finally, you can speak with either Thrush if you stopped the conflict, or whoever you showed up with to complete the quest.
This finishes Battle of the Frogs and Mice side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
