This guide provides an overview of what is needed for 100% game completion in Horizon Forbidden West. Each completion category is linked below to guides that show everything you need. All of the following is required for 100% completion:
Missables Warning – the following tasks towards 100% completion are missable:
- Machine Scan of Specter is missable. It doesn’t spawn in the open world, only available during specific quests: Main Quest 5: Death’s Door, Main Quest 10: Cradle of Echoes, Main Quest 17: Singularity. However, it can still be scanned in New Game+ after Patch 1.16.
- Unlocking Errand Broken Locks is missable, it requires doing the optional objective in Side Quest Breaking Even to recover Porguf’s Lockbox.

Have we figured out what the legendary items in the menu are?

Go to the maw of the arena and defeat all of the challenges within the time frames, you will be rewared with medals, just behind where to enter into these challenges there’s a trader behind you with a medal above her, trade in your medals for legendary item, I currently have 4 legendary outfits and 8 legendary weapons

There are 6 legendary outfits, and 9 legendary weapons. All count towards the game completion.

There are 3 outfits at the maw area, 2 outfits at the stitcher in thornmarsh, and 1 from completing all the scavenger contracts. The legendary weapons are obtained from mostly the collectable missions, but some are from a side mission or 2 or the main story line.

One legendary item obtained after defeating Arsa. Complete all rebel camps and outposts. after which you get last camp First forge. defeat Arsa in that quest and loot her.

i can’t complete The Hive rebel camps. Quest is completed but the objective log for ‘Destroy the weapon cache’ hasn’t check marked. Went to the place again but nothing to find anymore.

Orange barrels throughout the area – four or five of them in various locations if memory serves. You have to shoot them to blow them up and that will complete the quest.

I have 20 errands collected and a game completion of 98.94%

It might not be an errand you’re missing – I’m at 20 errands but one more sidequest than the guide lists, so perhaps in a patch they changed what was an errand, to a side quest? – Just make sure you have everything else like the various scans and legendary items

where do i find apex grimhorns, as well as apex sentry scroungers. are these only quest related and if you miss the scan you cant get 100%???

Normally you can got to the machine site at night time and there will be an apex. Haven’t tried this for the machines you listed but all other machines I have done this for there were apex present at night time instead of the regular machine type.

As of the latest patch – Apex Grimhorns only spawn during a side quest with Zo. If you’ve done everything then maybe like me you scanned them but died and forgot to rescan them again and finished the side-quest. As for A. Sentry Scroungers, they are supposed to be random and rare appearance in Cauldrons at night. So if you finished all cauldrons at day (like me), then it won’t spawn.
Guerilla is aware of this and they might patch them in soon, maybe in free-roam or arena or even a DLC.

After update 1.09, I scanned the apex sentry scrounger but I’m stuck at 99.65%.

Edit: Found out I was missing the “Supply Drop” errand. Got 100% after completing it.

I Looted asera, and apparently it didn’t give me the bow. I’m already at 98%, is there another way to get it. I completed the quest along time ago

Nvm, I found it. If you missed looting Asera’s body you can go to this location and she will just be laying where she was killed

I have 100% completion but I am still 5 skill points short of being able to buy all skills. What’s missing? I have won all the strike games also.

Just a warning for anybody who wants to try that…the Bonewhite Tear Gaunlet Run is really messed up, I would even say bugged. After 10 tries I finally won the race and got the comment “next time you win” and still showed me 2nd. You get stuck everywhere, there are riders entering the race in front of you out of nowhere and the stupid mount gets stuck on everything and especially at nothing
