There are 9 Legendary Weapons in Horizon Forbidden West. These are the best weapons in the game. Legendary (orange rarity) is the highest grade of weapon. They deal the most damage and have more coil slots than lower-grade weapons. Getting these as early as possible will make the game easier. Here are all Legendary Weapon Locations:
Legendary Weapon #1: Hunter Bow – Death-Seeker’s Shadow
Bought from Dukkah (Prize Master) in The Maw of the Arena (80 Arena Medals)
Legendary Weapon #2: Hunter Bow – The Sun Scourge
Complete all 5 Rebel Camps on the map. Then you unlock a 6th secret Rebel Camp called “First Forge”, track it under Quests > Rebel Camps and you will get a waypoint to talk to Erend. Go talk to him, he will give you a quest to go to the 6th and final Rebel Camp. At the end of the Rebel Camp you fight a boss called Asera, she drops this legendary bow. Loot it from her body. Legendary Weapon #3: Warrior Bow – Carja’s Bane
Reward for completing all 4 Gauntlet Runs (Races). After the last Gauntlet Run, a legendary chest will spawn in front of you that you can loot for this bow.
Legendary Weapon #4: Blastsling – Wings of the Ten
Reward for collecting all 12 Black Boxes – see All Black Box Locations. After getting them all, trade them for the 12 crafting materials with the Black Box Collector “Untalla” at The Memorial Grove. She will then give you the Legendary Blastslings after trading in all 12 Black Boxes. If she doesn’t, simply talk to her again and select the trade option again, it should then trigger the dialogue for having found all Black Boxes.
Legendary Weapon #5: Sharpshot Bow – Forgefall
Bought from Dukkah (Prize Master) in The Maw of the Arena (80 Arena Medals)
Legendary Weapon #6: Tripcaster – Tinker’s Pride
Reward for completing all Hunting Grounds Trials with Full Stripes.
Legendary Weapon #7: Spikethrower – The Skykiller
Reward for Side Quest “The Way Home“, started in Legacy’s Landfall.
Legendary Weapon #8: Boltblaster – The Blast Forge
Bought from Dukkah (Prize Master) in The Maw of the Arena (80 Arena Medals)
Legendary Weapon #9: Shredder Gauntlet – Ancestor’s Return
Reward from Errand “Nights of Lights”. After the quest, loot the chest behind the quest giver (potentially also requires completing all other 8 Relic Ruins and returning the Relics to him). See Relic Ruins Guide.
