Horizon Forbidden West Arena Location

The Arena in Horizon Forbidden West becomes available after Main Quest 9: The Kulrut. It is located near the center of the map, called “The Maw of the Arena” on the map. It’s directly north of “The Memorial Grove”, a story-related settlement you visit automatically. Here is the location:

Approach the Arena Master “Kalla” in front of the Arena to get the side quest “Opening the Arena”. Complete this side quest and then talk to the arena master again to play the arena challenges.

For the trophy “Completed Arena Challenge Set” you only need to complete the Amateur playlist. There are 5 playlists in total: Amateur, Intermediate, Skilled, Expert, Legendary. Each challenge awards you with Arena Medals, which you can trade with the merchant at the Arena Entrance for Legendary Weapons and Legendary Armor. That’s some of the best gear in the game and well worth doing early on. Simply kill the machines within the time limit. If you put the game on story difficulty this shouldn’t give you any trouble. A quick way to kill machines is with a Spike Thrower weapon. The Legendary Hunter Bow “Death-Seeker’s Shadow” is one of the best weapons in the game and makes other side activities easier and faster so be sure to get it while you’re there.
