Horizon Forbidden West contains an easter egg in the form of a God of War face paint for Aloy. You can equip this and it looks like the face paint from Kratos in God of War. There are also 3 God of War figurines in the game, which you must collect to unlock the face paint.
Upon finding the third God of War figurine it will unlock the face paint. Then you can equip it at a “Painter” merchant, one is found at Scalding Spear settlement.
Step 1: Find the 3 God of War Totems
Totem #1 (Kratos): Found at a hut on a snowy mountain
Totem #2 (Atreus): Found on a bridge, inaccessible until your reach San Francisco in the story (island in west).
Totem #3 (Forge Brothers): Found in the sand at a beach.
Step 2: Equip the Face Paint at a Painter
After you got the totems, it will show the God of War face paint unlocking in the bottom right of the screen. Now head to one of the Painter Merchants, for example at Scalding Spear. There you can equip the face paint.
