Oxenefordscire contains 13 Artifact Locations in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV). This walkthrough will guide you to all Artifacts in Oxenefordscire Territory and how to get them. None of the Artifacts are missable, you can still find everything in free-roam after the story. It’s recommended to collect everything as you go through the regions to level up.
Artifact Collectibles get marked by white icons on the world map automatically when synchronizing the viewpoints. They include the following types of collectibles: Rigsogur Fragments, Treasure Hoard Maps, Flying Papers, Roman Artifacts, Cursed Symbols. Finding all Artifacts is needed to 100% complete all Territories for the Completionist All the Way! trophy or achievement.
Also in this region:
Artifact #1: Roman Artifact
This artifact is in a cave below Evinghou Tower. Drop down to the cliff below the tower, using the statue as a landmark.
Face east, and you’ll see a doorway with a movable barrier, however it is blocked by an obstacle on the other side. Instead, go to the right of the door, and climb the small cliff above the wagon. Look left and you’ll see a crack in the wall that you can squeeze through.
In the cavern, you’ll see a grating that you’ll be able to shoot through to destroy the obstacles blocking the movable barrier. Destroy the three pots, then go back to the barrier, and push it into the room.
Look to your left and you will see the artifact on a small altar here.
Artifact #2: Roman Artifact
This artifact is in a room at the base of these unnamed ruins. There is a locked door on the north side of the ruins, with a key hidden in one corner of the courtyard. Use Odin’s Sight to locate its position.
You will have to pick up a stone and move it aside to be able to grab the key.
Go back to the locked door and open it to find the artifact straight ahead of you on a table.
Artifact #3: Roman Artifact
The artifact is hidden in a passage below these ruins. In order to access them, you will have to destroy the rubble blocking this hole. Luckily there’s a cache of fire pots on top of the platform directly across the street from the blockage.
Climb to the top of the platform, pick up a pot, and carefully walk back across the rope to reach the top of a pillar. You won’t be able to throw the pot far enough to reach the blockage, so turn left and jump across to the pillar next to you.
From this vantage point, you should be able to hit the right spot, just make sure that you aim a little high before throwing it. As long as you are close, the explosion should clear the rubble. If not, Head back for another fire pot and try again.
Once the way is clear, drop through the hole, step through a doorway and the artifact will be on a nearby table.
Artifact #4: Flying Papers
This flying paper starts right above the longhouse in this area. Simply approach and follow it until you can pick it up with :tr:. As always, never give up when following one of these papers because unlike previous Assassin’s Creed games, at the end of its route the paper will stop and stay catchable for several seconds. As long as you’re still traveling in the right direction you should be able to catch the paper every time.
Artifact #5: Cursed Symbol
Near two flaming effigies, you’ll find a pit filled with a flammable poison gas. You can light a torch and throw it at the gas to temporarily clear it, but it will return after a few seconds, so move quickly.
At the end of the short path, you’ll find a breakable floor that you can destroy with an arrow.
Drop down, then turn around and shoot the cursed skull in the alcove to destroy it.
Artifact #6: Treasure Hoard Map
This map is in a mine that is accessible from Eatun Barn to the south. The entrance to the mine is blocked by a breakable wall. Find a cache of fire pots in front of a small house, just to the right of the entrance. Pick one up and destroy the blockage.
Inside, you’ll find a large room with a statue in it. You’ll notice a key on the statue’s hand, but it is only for the loot chest on the ledge to the right, and has nothing to do with the map.
Past the statue on the left side of the room is a movable boulder. Pull it out of the way and slide through the crack that is revealed and you’ll find the map nearby.
Read the map to get a clue to the hoard’s location. Its actually quite nearby to the south, on a hill due west of Cyne Belle Castle.
Head south and you’ll see the tree from quite a ways away, being much taller than those around it.
Smash the wooden well cover, and drop down into the pit below. The treasure hoard will be buried in one corner of the cavern near a pick axe and a flag.
Artifact #7: Flying Papers
This flying paper starts on top of a beam attached to a small house’s chimney.
Artifact #8: Rigsogur Fragment
This artifact is in the same location as Oxenefordscire Mystery #7, World Event “The Last Raid”. Find the saga page on the longboat that Alvar is readying.
Artifact #9: Cursed Symbol
To reach this cursed symbol, you will have to break down a wall at the top of the path. To get a fire pot, head up the path to the left of the wall. At the top of the path will be a zip line that will lead you to the other small island in this lake, and you’ll land right next to a cache of fire pots. Pick one up and prepare for some platforming. You will have to reach the island with the breakable wall without falling in the water or breaking the pot.
Turn to the north and you’ll see a rope stretched between poles, just above the water. Run across the rope, then turn left.
Jump across the platforms to another pole that has a rope stretched out to the west which dips below the waterline. Luckily the rope is still close enough to the surface to prevent you from dunking the fire pot.
Jump across to a half sunken rooftop and run to the other end, then jump to the platform next to the roof. stretching off just below the waterline to the south.
Jump across to the square raft, then turn left and jump across to the pole sticking out of the water, then to the pole after it. Look down from this pole, and you’ll see a rope.
Follow this rope through the water, and you’ll automatically transition to another rope about halfway. Keep following the rope until you reach the pole at its end. Look to the left and you can jump across to a log which will allow you to jump to the first island again.
Toss the fire pot at the wall to destroy it, then shoot the cursed symbol behind the wall to destroy it.
Artifact #10: Roman Artifact
Just west of Saint Albanes Abbey is a small ruin with a breakable floor tile. To get a fire pot, you’ll have to go all the way back to Saint Albanes Abbey and hope that you can make it back without being attacked.
Destroy the tile with the fire pot and drop down, and the artifact will be straight ahead of you on an altar.
Artifact #11: Treasure Hoard Map
In Hammeham, there is a boarded up well. Smash the cover and drop down to find the map just lying out in the open.
Artifact #12: Roman Artifact
Follow the waypoint to locate a barred door. Just to the south of that structure, you’ll see a series of grates in the ground leading to a second structure.
On top of that structure is an open hole that you can drop down into. You’ll find a movable barrier but you will have to smash the three post next to it before you can slide it to the left.
Go through the door behind the barrier and drop down to a tunnel that runs under the grates you saw from above. Run to the end, and smash the wooden wall at the end. Climb up, and you’ll be in a small room with a ladder, which you should also climb.
At the top will be an altar with the roman artifact on it. Grab it then smash the lock on the nearby door to get outside.
Artifact #13: Cursed Object
There will be a narrow entrance to the cavern where the cursed object hides. Immediately after entering, look to your right to see a cache of fire pots. Pick one up and follow the passage.
Almost immediately you will see a cloud of flammable gas. If you carry the fire pot into one of these pockets of gas, it will explode. So place (not throw!) the pot on the ground, get out a torch and throw it at the gas to burn it away. Then pick up the fire pot and keep going.
You’ll have to put it down twice more to clear gas pockets, but after that you’ll have a clear path to destroy the breakable wall at the end of the passage.
Once the wall is down, shoot the object to destroy it.
That’s 100% of the Artifacts you can find in Oxenefordscire Region of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV).

Syaoran says
On artifact 10 you can shoot the crates above the hole to break it instead of going all the way back to the abbey.

In artifact # 4 I went up to the roof of the communal house and the flying paper did not move and I picked it up without chasing it, I mark it as obtained but the flying paper did not disappear and it remained on top of the roof of the communal house, the trophy of Will it be complete or not? I have that big doubt.
