Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Lunden Mysteries Walkthrough

November 8, 2020 by Darth_Krid 17 Comments

Lunden contains 5 Mysteries in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV). This Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Lunden Mysteries Walkthrough will guide you through all Mystery Locations in the Lunden Territory. None of the Mysteries are missable, you can still find everything in free-roam after the story. It’s recommended to collect everything as you go through the regions to level up.

Mysteries get marked by blue icons on the world map automatically when synchronizing the viewpoints. Mysteries are side quests and other open world encounters. They include the following types: Cairns, Offering Altars, Flytings, Treasures of Britain, World Events, Legendary Animals, Lost Drengrs, Daughters of Lerion, Animus Anomalies, Fly Agarics, Standing Stones. Finishing all Mysteries is needed to complete all Territories for the Completionist All the Way! trophy or achievement.

Also in this region:

  • Lunden Wealth
  • Lunden Artifacts

Mystery #1: Flyting (Augusta the Cheerful)

Pick the following options to win this contest:

  • You’re the picture of elegance, beauty and grace.
  • O, your valour’s the subject of story and song.
  • It is truly a pleasure, my partner’s sublime.

Mystery #2: World Event (The Demon Odour at the Tithe)

Despite what the man requests, you can destroy the jars without penalty, except they will make Eivor throw up. It’s quicker to do it this way, or you can carry them. Just destroy/carry the jars and move the shelves to help the man escape. Note that you must move the shelves the entire way along their path in order to trigger the man to leave.

Mystery #3: World Event (Falling Stars)

For this one, you’ll need to find the three members of the disbanded…band around Lunden.

Kitt can be found playing her lyre outside St Paul’s Cathedral. Offer her 50 Silver coins to get her to return.

Ysane can be found weeping on a rocky ledge just outside of the city walls. Speak to her and choose either option to inspire her.

Cynewulf can be found in the south-est corner of Crepelgate Fort, locked in a cage. Open it and speak to him.

Now return to the quest marker and interact with it to watch the performance.

Mystery #4: World Event (War of the Collectors)

Firstly, you’ll need to build the Museum at the Settlement. Then, speak to Octavian and you’ll get the main quest ‘A Rivalry for the Ages’. Travel to the collector’s house in Lunden and either convince him to part with the statue for free (requires Level 5 Charisma obtained from Flyting) or pay 130 Silver for it. Once done, the Wold Event will complete but you still need to return to Octavian to finish the quest.

Mystery #5: World Event (Last Flight of the Gyldan Sparrow)

First, swim to the wreckage in the Thames River, just 30 meters south-east of the quest giver. You should also see a golden glow on the map in that water section.

Dive down and open the two chests. One contains supplies while the other contains a message in a bottle.

Return to the quest giver (woman at docks, same as quest start location above) and she tells you that the necklace she was after was actually hidden in a cow’s stomach and you’ll have to fish for it.

Confusingly, there are no cow carcasses underwater so you actually have to fish off the docks where the quest giver is standing and catch a fish that had swallowed it. To fish, select the fishing line from your item wheel. If you don’t have the fishing line yet, you must first build the Fisherman’s Hut at your settlement to unlock it. The first fish you catch at these docks should have the quest item (will show up on right side of screen when fish is caught).

Return to the woman and either hand it to her or choose to keep it.

That’s 100% of the Mysteries you can find in Lunden Region of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV).

For all other Mysteries check out the complete Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Mysteries Guide. For the other Collectibles in this region check out the Wealth Guide and Artifacts Guide.

The woman is not at the docks for me, have seen others with similar complaints but have not seen any solutions. Does anyone have a fix?

I found one guide that said if that happens she can be found further up docks in the area. And to look for her speech bubble to spot her.
      Didn’t find her myself though

Mystery #5 Can you add a photo of where the woman is? Since you said Jetty I figured that’s not the dock. What Jetty?

For the people looking for the lady, it seems like she wanders quite far from the docks. I found her walking towards the city, at the end of the bridge at the main southern gatehouse, between the governors villa and the temple of Mithras.

It seems she has a hut on the other side of the river, across the bridge going over the Thames. If you go over the bridge from Lunden you should see her on the other side behind a house in the hut. Not sure if this is somewhere she always is or not, but it’s where I found her.

Mystery #2 is bugged for me. I started shuffling the shelves before the quest giver actually showed up. Now that the guy has spawned, one of the shelves is stuck on top of some jars. When I shoot the jars underneath, the shelf drops off its track and it’s impossible to move it. Because of this the guy never gets triggered to come out of the building.

I found a solution, but I’m not sure how well it’s gonna be explained across writing. So the first thing you are going to want to to is evaluate the positions of the movable crates. The first crate that should be left of you when entering through the north side of the warehouse. This crate can be fixed easily. Before you can start to fix it you must check on the small moveable crate directly to the right of this crate in the small room. Depending on how glitched your quest is, this small crate should either be direct the leftmost wall(while facing the npc you need to help) or it will be on the right side of the divider. If it is on the leftmost side you can skip ahead to where I have double indented. If it is in the right side you are going to have to check a few things. Start off by breaking all the boxes and vases in the room to get the crate to drop. After doing this, you are going to want to make sure the small crate is in the correct position. The position you want it to be in is in the top left corner of the divider section. So push the crate as far forward(to the npc) as you can, then as far left as it can go. The next step is to now fast travel back to your settlement then fast travel back to London. This will allow the vases to reset and boost the crate off the ground.

Once you are back in London, you are going to have to obtain a corpse. Any will work but try not to murder too many civilians. You are then going to go inside the ware house and break the vases under the FIRST crate. Only the first long crate that was spoken about in the beginning. Throw the corpse at this a few times until it has been placed back on its dividers correct side. Then move it all the way left. Next you are going to want to go into the next room with the small crate. What you are going to want to do now is break all the vases and boxes in this room that arnt under the small crate. This will allow you to maneuver your body into a position where you can throw the corpse into the small crate facing the direction of that leftmost wall. Once again the leftmost wall while facing the npc. So when you are throwing the corpse it will not be you left atm, but directly in front of you. So the position you want to be in while throwing the corpse is the leftmost wall in front of you, and the npc to your right. Chuck the corpse at the small crate a few times until you see it above the divider. At this point you can break the vases and boxes if they have not already been broken by the corpse. Finally continue throwing the corpse at the crate until it is back on its correct side. Then move the crate all the way down to the barrel. This should have solved your problems, if not feel free to ask questions.

Mystery #4 has another way to pay less silver (65 instead of 130). After talking to the man who has the statue, tell him you will come back later. On the corner is a kid that will now have a conversation box over their head. He will take 65 silver to distract your target. At that point steal the keys from the stool he was standing by, use them to unlock door, steal statue and head out the back. Kid has a funny comment at the end.

I tried this option but the key was not on the bench. Now he is not there at all. Probably a glitch any suggestions?

I wasted about 30 arrows shooting fish wondering why I could not complete this quest. Thanks to this post I see that I need the fishing line to do so. Doh!
