Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Melunois Mysteries Walkthrough

August 11, 2021 by Darth_Krid Leave a Comment

Melunois contains 7 Mysteries in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV). This Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Melunois Mysteries Walkthrough will guide you through all Mystery Locations in the Melunois Territory. None of the Mysteries are missable. This region is part of Francia in the Siege of Paris DLC expansion (DLC #2).

Mysteries get marked by blue icons on the world map automatically when synchronizing the viewpoints. Mysteries are side quests and other open world encounters. They include the following types: Cairns, Offering Altars, World Events, Legendary Animals, Frankish Nobles, Roman Excavations. Finishing all Mysteries in Paris/France is needed to complete all Territories for the Know What Is Right trophy or achievement.

Mystery #1: World Event (Stealing from Thieves)

Pick up the Smuggled Cargo box off the table and this Mystery is completed. Doing so unlocks the mission ‘A Package for Paris’, but completing it is not necessary.

Mystery #2: Roman Excavation

This is located in the same room as Melunois Wealth #2 (Ability: Golden Flame).

Firstly, to access the underground area of Diodorum Ruins, dive into the pond located approximately 60m east of the Mystery map icon (it’s the pond you dive into off the viewpoint).

Swim through the archway and climb up to find a stone door with the Hidden Ones symbol (the Assassin insignia) on it. Interact with it to open it. Head through and drop down into the water, diving to go under another arch. Follow the linear path through until you can climb up and reach an area with some oil jars and a breakable wall. Pick a jar up and throw it with :r2: to break the wall. Head through and collect the key.

Mystery #3: World Event (Not God Enough)

Head inside the church and be ‘greeted’ by the three people inside. Kill them and read the note in front of the Odin statue to finish this one.

Mystery #4: Frankish Noble

Loot the chest located at the marker and you’ll have to fight The Hunter. He can be a tricky customer as he’s hard to catch, and he has set bombs all along the cliff so if you try and chase him they will blow up and you’ll take damage. The best way to defeat him is with your bow, as he’ll occasionally stop to wind up his crossbow, allowing you to hit his weak points. If you do catch him then he attacks very quickly and is thus hard to parry, so it’s best to keep your distance, using arrows until you stun him and can then use your powerful melee attacks.

Mystery #5: Cairn

Below is one of the solutions to this Cairn:

Mystery #6: Offering Altar (3x European Pond Turtle – Regular)

Follow the road leading north from the Altar to find a pond 120m away from the Altar, in which you’ll find European Pond Turtles. Kill them (either with melee attacks or your bow), collect the carcasses and return them. Use Odin’s Sight to locate them in the water, and remember they must be labeled ‘Regular’ sized otherwise they won’t count.

If the pond is empty of turtles, there is an even larger pond located 70m west of this pond which contains more. Meditating a couple of times also refreshes the ponds.

Mystery #7: World Event (Ulfbehrt Sword)

Firstly, head to the Pruvinis fort and read the Map to Thieves Camp located at the marker.

Then, as indicated by the map, head to the location below (Blihaut):

Talk to the Norse Man and you’ll have the choice to either use your Charisma to get the sword for free, pay for it with 3000 coins or fight him for it. Pick any choice and you’ll complete the Mystery.

That’s 100% of the Mysteries you can find in Melunois Region of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV).

For all other Mysteries check out the complete Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Mysteries Guide. For the other Collectibles in this region check out the Wealth Guide and Artifacts Guide.
