Introduction

Welcome to the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Trophy Guide! This is the biggest Assassin’s Creed game to date, by far (map size, story length, total content). 100% Game Completion is required for the trophy “Completionist All the Way!”. Around 70% of trophies will come automatically by going for 100% completion in each area. The best strategy is to work on 100% Completion as you go through the story. Then finish off your remaining trophies after the story in Free Roam.

Step 1: Story + 100% Completion

Your first task is to focus on the main story while completing all regions as you go through the game. You need 100% game completion for the trophy “Completionist All the Way!”.

Collectibles & Completion:

100% completion includes: Wealth, Mysteries, Artifacts. Some of them can be quite tricky because the World Events don’t have any objectives and Wealth/Artifacts are well hidden. Use the guides below, they list everything region by region:

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Wealth Guide
  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Mysteries Guide
  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Artifacts Guide

On the world map it shows you in the bottom right corner how many you found of each type and how many are left. The way the story works is that there’s a Prologue in Norway and then you go to England. In England you will have to pledge to 16 regions to make them your friends. After playing through the story of a region, it’s best that you immediately clean up all the Wealth, Mysteries, Artifacts there before moving to the next region. This will help you level up. If you can’t reach a Collectible yet, it means you need more story progress. Some buildings (especially Castles) are only unlocked after story-related raids. While doing raids, also pick up the smaller golden wealth chests, they don’t count towards 100% completion but contain supplies for upgrading your camp. You can still return to all regions after the story, but there are some missable Completion Items that can only be found during a specific quest. We’ll go through the Missables in a moment.

Feel free to work on any other trophies and tasks you see fit. One thing to look out for are the “Zealots”, there are 15 of them and they are a type of Order of the Ancients Member. You can see a white helmet icon on the map when they are within a few hundred meters of you: . If you see this icon, always scan them with :r3: from up close so they get marked in the Order Menu. If you’re underleveled you can track them from that menu later to find them again. The reason you’re supposed to look out for them is that they ride all over the map and move around. This can make it annoying to find them as they have no fixed spawn. So by looking out for them from the start you can save time later. See the below paragraph for a story choice to help with this.

Important Story Choice:

To save time it’s recommended that you have the Zealots hunt you. There’s a dialogue choice early in the story that determines whether Zealots will hunt you throughout the game or whether they will leave you alone. The advantage of having them hunt you is that they will come to you instead of you having to search for them.

Pick this story choice to be hunted by Zealot Order Members (recommended to save time):

  • During “Ledecestrescire” Story Arc (first region you pledge to in England) – Main Quest “Heavy is the Head”: After the Leofrith boss battle, you can choose whether to spare Leofrith’s Life “(Spare) Burgred abandoned you” or to kill him “(Kill) Pray to your god now”. Choose to kill Leofrith to make Order of the Ancients Members (Zealots) hunt you. If you pick the other choice they won’t hunt you and you must search for them yourself.

Don’t worry if you picked the other option, you can still find all Zealots regardless. It’s just a time-saver. None of the Story Choices impact any trophies whatsoever. Just in case you’re wondering how your Choices impact the story and “what’s best to pick”, you can look at the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Story Choices Guide (optional, not relevant for trophies).

Missables:

  • As of Patch 2.00 on PS4 / Patch 1.1.0 on PS5 there are no longer any missables (prior to this Patch Version there used to be 2 missables Wealth #12 & Wealth #13 in Jotunheim). This has been fixed since the game’s release.
  • Given how buggy the game is, it’s super highly recommended to complete each region as you go through them and keep plenty of Manual Saves. If just 1 of the 782 Collectibles bugs out on you, you’d miss the 100% Completion trophy. If you encounter a bug (not uncommon in this game), you can usually fix it by reloading a previous save, fast traveling to another map, or changing gender. But you don’t want to get into a situation where you find out 100 hours later that a World Event you started in the early game bugged out. Always complete World Events right away when you accept them! This way you will notice if something is wrong and can revert to a previous save. Because they don’t have any objectives or waypoint markers, if you stop a World Event halfway through you might never remember where a quest NPC wandered off to. Again, the Mysteries Guide is your friend here and contains Walkthroughs for each World Event.

General Tips:

Here are some tips to help you get around the game more easily.

  • During objectives that have the “Locate Area” with a bird icon in the top left of the screen, use your Raven  and zoom in :l2: . It will show a green indicator pointing you in the objective’s direction. There will be a green outline around the objective area, press :x: to mark it with your Raven.
  • Your Raven isn’t as powerful as in AC Odyssey. It can’t mark enemies or Order Members. Instead, you use :r3: to mark objects and enemies in a radius around you. This is helpful for finding Wealth / Mysteries / Artifacts because it shows their colored outline through walls.
  • AC Valhalla puts more emphasis on parries. Learn How to Parry, you must tap the block button :l1: just before an enemy attack lands. This doesn’t require a shield (works with any weapon). Red Rune attacks are unblockable and must be dodged.
  • Health doesn’t recharge automatically. Instead, you must collect berries from bushes, or fish, food from settlements, rations from enemies/wildlife, or sleep in your bed to restore health.
  • As for weapons, Dual-Wielding Daggers will make quick work of enemies. The :r1: dagger attack stunlocks most human enemies, leaving them unable to move. When combined with Abilities (such as Poison) the daggers can be really overpowered.
  • As soon as you can build the stables (at your settlement), buy the horse training that lets your horse swim and increases its stamina. These are big time savers.
  • Some Collectibles require more story progress to become accessible.
  • Some Collectibles require you to destroy breakable walls. If no explosive oil jar is available nearby, you must use the Incendiary Powder Trap Ranged Ability. Get this as early as possible, it’s found at Walden Monastery in Grantebridgescire – see Wealth #9 in Grantebridgescire.

Step 2: Order of the Ancients

There are 45 Members of the Order of the Ancients. You need to find and kill them all. Refer to this guide for their locations:

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – All Order of the Ancients Locations

Step 3: Miscellaneous Trophies & Reaching Level 6 Settlement

After you’re done with the story (and you should also have 100% completion by now), check what Miscellaneous Trophies you still have left. Do those now. This will include things like finding Excalibur and Thor’s Hammer ‘Mjolnir’ or reaching Level 6 with your Settlement. If you end up a few thousand supplies short of upgrading all buildings, you need to find more of the small wealth chests (the ones that don’t count towards completion). Going back to Monasteries where you did raids and opening the smaller chests almost always guarantees supplies.

Step 4: Orlog

One of the last few things on your list will be beating all Orlog Players (a dice minigame).

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – All Orlog Player Locations

Step 5: Fishing

The trophy “Good Catch!” requires you to catch every type of fish using the Fishing Line (killing the Fish with Melee or Explosives doesn’t count). After this the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla platinum will be yours.

Bug Warning:
It’s very common being unable to advance Mysteries because the quest givers can’t be talked to, or they glitch through the map and disappear. If just a single Collectible / Mystery of the 782 total is bugged for you, it would cause you to miss the 100% completion trophy “Completionist All the Way!”. For this reason, it is highly recommended to keep a Manual Save from the start of each region (after you pledge to a region at England’s Alliance Map). Also manual save between Quests and between Mysteries so that you can quickly go back if a bug occurs. The good news is most bugs are quickly fixed by fast travel to another map, changing gender, or loading a manual save before starting the quest.

Skadi’s Hobby
Perform a 150m slide in the snow

This can only be done at a specific downhill section in Norway, in the Rygjafylke region.

Go where the 3 map markers are in the images below (or refer to the video) and slide down that exact path. It’s only the part where you can slide for 150 meters. This stretch is just a little over 150m.

Witch Hunter
Defeat one Daughter of Lerion
Daughters of Lerion count as a sub-type of “Mysteries”. Because all Mysteries are required for 100% completion (Completionist All the Way! trophy), you will get them automatically while following the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Mysteries Guide.
Equine Attack
Assassinate an enemy from your horse

The easiest method is to do this on the straw puppets (practice targets) at the Hidden Ones Bureau, at your settlement in England.

To perform an assassination from a horse, you must tap the crouch button :circle: while on the horse (this will make you stand on the horse). Then press :r1: to perform the assassination.

If you don’t see the :r1: prompt coming up, try damaging the straw puppets a bit by kicking them from your horse. When they are low on “health” the :r1: prompt should come up. Because these practice targets don’t move around it’s easier than doing it on real enemies.

Silent Viking
Assassinate 10 enemies in a row without triggering a conflict

For this only :r1: melee takedowns count (bow stealth takedowns don’t count). You need to defeat 10 enemies in a row without breaking stealth / without being seen. Having 1-hit kill assassinations turned on in the game options is very helpful for this.

A good place for it is the town of Ledecestre, 2 viewpoints north of your settlement, in the Ledecestrescire region. Make a manual save before you start. Then take out enemies one by one. Feel free to take as much time as you need, just don’t break stealth. Other good locations are any big towns (look for enemies who stand alone by themselves) and some Raid Locations (they always have lots of enemies but a bit more tricky than towns).

The skill “Chain Assassination” (yellow skill tree) is extremely useful here. It will throw an axe at a 2nd nearby enemy to stealth kill them. It’s okay to use this skill (counts towards the 10 stealth takedowns), just make sure you aren’t seen while using it. Perfect when two enemies are walking in a line, you can take out the one behind and throw an axe at the one in front. It only works when the 2nd enemy is a few meters away, not when they stand side by side.

Everyday Life
Complete 10 World Events
World Events  count as a sub-type of “Mysteries” (they are the little side quests). Because all Mysteries are required for 100% completion (Completionist All the Way! trophy), it will automatically include 10 World Events and you will get them while following the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Mysteries Guide.
Overdesign II
While on fire during a fight, kill 3 hard difficulty soldiers without breaking their shields

A “hard difficulty” soldier is one that is several levels above you and has a red skull left of their health bar. This does not mean in-game difficulty. You can do this on easy difficulty (and you should do it on easy because those enemies are tough otherwise).

Go to the southernmost viewpoint in Hamtunscire (level 340 region), in the town Werham. There are many “Standard Bearer” enemy types here. They are big enemies with spears and yellow names. Make sure they show the red skull next to their health bars. You should be under level 300. If you are already above level 300, simply reset your level in the skills menu. Also set your game on easy difficulty for Combat so they don’t kill you as quickly.

Before you do anything, make a manual save so that you can quickly retry if things go wrong.
Two of the Standard Bearers are at the northern gate entrance of the Werham town. More are walking around at the town square. Whittle down their health so they will die within 1 hit of your bow (Light Bow recommended because it has more arrows and shoots quicker).

Now put yourself on fire. Either throw a torch at the straw around town, or at one of the straw roofs, or wait for the Standard Bearers to throw fire bombs at you. Wait until the red “fire icon” in the bottom left corner of your screen has completely filled up. Then either shoot a Bearer with arrows while you stand in fire, or quickly run up to them and melee-kill them from behind before your fire runs out. Arrows are the easiest option though. I used the Light Bow and just shot them in the arms/legs while I burned.

Repeat this until you killed 3 while on fire. You DON’T need to kill 3 in one go of being on fire. It’s okay to kill one at a time, let the fire go out, put yourself on fire again and kill the next one. You just can’t exit combat. If you exit combat it will reset the count and you must kill 3 again. But one at a time is totally sufficient for the trophy.

There are also other shielded enemies here that wield morningstars. Personally, I did it by killing 3 Shield Bearers but if you killed one by accident you can try it on one of the Morningstar enemies as a replacement, or reload the manual save you made beforehand.

Completionist All the Way!
Complete all territories
For this trophy you must get 100% game completion. This means all Wealth, Mysteries, Artifacts.

You can see your progress on the world map for each region (bottom right corner). You can still revisit all regions after the story.

The following guides show everything region by region and include everything you need:

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Wealth Guide
  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Mysteries Guide
  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Artifacts Guide
Row Rage
Ram and destroy 5 boats in under 2 minutes with your longship

An easy location for this is in Lincolnshire (England), in the river south of Botolphston. There usually spawn 5+ boats close together.

All you need to do is call your longship (from the item wheel  select the longship while near water), then open the sails by holding :x: and ram into 5 small fisher boats. The area marked red in the image below shows the spot (eastern edge of map where North Sea is):

We’re in the End Game Now
Reach Power 280
Your power level is displayed at the bottom of the Skills / Inventory menus.

Each skill point you spend increases your level by 1.

There are 2 ways to gain skill points: From gaining XP (Quests, Enemies) & from completing Mysteries. You will have to complete all Mysteries for 100% completion anyway so this will come automatically along the way. The story alone will get you 180 skill points.

A Picture of Grace
Run through 30 breakable objects
First you must buy the Sprint Bash skill at the top of the red skill tree. This allows you to bash through breakable objects. Now run through 30 breakable objects, such as vases, wooden fences, crates etc.

Builder
Reach settlement level 3
See trophy “Home Sweet Home”. Level 3 is automatically reached as part of the story, cannot be missed. Unlocks automatically after completing the East Anglia Arc (no need to build any buildings for this). Some story arcs automatically increase your settlement level which is why level 3 is unmissable from the story. More on that in the description below for “Home Sweet Home”.
Home Sweet Home
Reach settlement level 6
Settlement levels are rewards from completing the story arcs of certain territories and creating new buildings. At your settlement on the alliance map you can see the rewards for each territory. Some give supplies (golden barrels icon) and some give settlement levels (green hut icon). As you go through the story and forge alliances with the different territories you will automatically increase your settlement’s level (renown). For example, the territories of East Anglia and Lunden increase your settlement level. By finishing the story you will automatically reach Settlement Level 4 (without having built anything).

The remaining levels come from crafting new buildings at your settlement. With each level you unlock new building types. To reach level 6 simply build all of them and also finish the story.

To craft buildings you need Supplies & Raw Materials. You will automatically get these while collecting all Wealth in the game (see Assassin’s Creed Valhalla All Wealth Locations). The Cargo Wealth is the type that gives you the resources you need, primarily found in Raid areas. Some smaller chests that have golden map icons but don’t count as Wealth can also contain 100 Supplies. As you go for 100% game completionist for “Completionist All the Way!” you should automatically gain enough materials. If you end up short on supplies, try going back to the Monasteries where you did Raids (see Raid Locations) and open the smaller chests there, they guarantee supplies. More small supply chests are found in civilian locations (towns).

Your settlement level is displayed on the world map when you scroll over Ravensthorpe (your settlement), in the bottom right corner.

Pioneer
Reach Vinland
The region of Vinland (North America) is visited as part of the Order of the Ancients questline. You will automatically earn this trophy will killing all Order of the Ancient Targets for trophy “Disorder of the Ancients”.

First you need to kill the 6 Order Members in the right-side branch (Kjotve, Leofgifu, Hunta, Sister Frideswid, Avgos, Vicelin).

Then you will automatically unlock a new quest “In a Strange Land” to kill Gorm Kjotvesson. Then you need to report back to Hytham at the Hidden Ones Bureau and talk to Randvi. When talking to Randvi you must look at her Alliance Map and scroll all the way down (south of the England Map) to see Vinland and pledge to it. This can be a bit confusing and hard to see. After pledging to Vinland at the bottom edge of the Alliance Map, you talk to a girl at the docks of your settlement and then it will bring you to Vinland. The questline there involves killing Gorm, a member of the Order of the Ancients.

Home Decor
Place an item on each settlement cosmetic spot

The “Settlement Cosmetic Spots” are the totems around your settlement in England, called Ravensthorpe. Interact with them and place any one of the customization items (like a well or berserker totem). You can use the same customization item on all 16 cosmetic spots, they don’t have to be different ones (I put the Berserker Arsenal on all of them).

Below are all totem locations. Should they not all be available to you yet, you must build some more buildings and level up your settlement.

  1. One at the docks, under the wooden, roof-shaped structure.
  2. Another one at the docks, also under the wooden, roof-shaped structure (just next to the 1st totem).
  3. Behind the Barracks.
  4. Behind the fishing hut, next to the Bakery.
  5. Behind the Vendor, behind the Bakery, in front of the Brewery.
  6. In front of the Hunter.
  7. To the right of the Longhouse’s main entrance.
  8. By the big, customizable tree, right of Contracts giver.
  9. At the very root of the same tree.
  10. In front of the Tattooist.
  11. In front of the Cartographer, behind the Assassins’ Bureau.
  12. In front of the Shipyard.
  13. In front of the tree that’s in front of the Stables.
  14. In front of the Museum.
  15. Behind the Mayda’s House, left of the Grain Farm.
  16. Behind Kari’s House.
Not the Norse You’re Looking For
Successfully pass close to a guard in a distrust area by blending with a group of monks

A very easy spot for this is in the region “Essexe” (southeast part of England), in the town “Colcestre”. Travel to the viewpoint in Colcestre. From the viewpoint, look west, towards the center of town. There’s a pond in the center of town with some guards and monks walking in circles around it. Just go to the monks and press :triangle: to blend in.

Then walk alongside them and wait to pass by some guards. The trophy will unlock when you pass by a guard so closely that the :r1: assassination prompt comes up. It will only take a few seconds in this location to get it. Remember it only works in “Distrust Areas”, the areas that have an orange indicator at the top of the HUD. This town is a Distrust area so it works fine there. The images below show the spot.

Face My Might!
Equip 8 abilities
Abilities  count as “Wealth” Collectibles. Because all Wealth is required for 100% completion (Completionist All the Way! trophy), you will get them automatically while following the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Wealth Guide. After finding them, they can be selected from the “Abilities” Menu.
Ultimate Refinement
Fully upgrade and enhance a piece of gear
For this trophy, you need to level up any weapon of your choice to the top quality tier and fill up all its upgrade slots.

To enhance a weapon’s quality you need Ingots, found all across the world. Once you’ve collected the right amount of the required Ingots (Carbon, Nickel or Tungsten), visit the Blacksmith at your Settlement to enhance the quality of your weapon. For this trophy, you need to reach enhancement tier level 4 (gold color). Ingots are a type of Wealth Collectible and you’ll get them all automatically while following the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Wealth Locations Guide.

To upgrade a weapon, open your Inventory, hover over the weapon of your choice and press :square: to check if you’ve got the required materials to upgrade it. You’ll know when you can upgrade a weapon because a small up arrow will be shown inside your upgradable weapon’s square. To upgrade a weapon you need Leather, Iron Ore, Fabric and Titanium. All of these materials are scattered across the world and in smaller golden chests. Make sure you open smaller chests consistently on your journey to get enough materials.

Once you’ve reached enhancement tier level 4 and filled up all the upgrade slots for all enhancement tier levels, this trophy will be yours.

Flying Eivor
Get thrown 30 meters away by a destroyer or a housecarl

An easy spot for this is in the starting region of England called “Ledecestrescire”, in a place called Venonis north-west of your Settlement.

There’s a Roman Artifact Collectible (white dot / mask icon on map). Where this Artifact is, there’s a “Goliath” enemy on top of a big pillar. You can see him by using Odin’s Sight :r3: . Use the ladder to climb up the pillar, shoot the red lock on the 2nd ladder (use :r3: again to highlight it) and reach the top. Now let the Goliath do his red rune attack where he grabs and throws you. Sometimes he will try to rush towards you and accidentally fall down to his death. It’s recommended to make a manual save beforehand so you can just reload and retry immediately if things go bad.

Twinkle Twinkle
Release a firefly in your settlement

Fireflies always spawn at night in the building shown below (only if you haven’t picked up the Roman Artifact there yet. If you already got the Roman Artifact exit the Animus and re-enter and the Fireflies should respawn):

You can open the item wheel  and choose “Meditate” at the bottom to change between day and night. It has to be nighttime. Enter the building, run after the firefly (it looks like a glowing flying dot), and pick it up by pressing the interaction button :triangle . It will say +1 Firefly on the right side of the screen. If you already collected the Roman Artifact at this location the firefly might not be there. In this case go to the location, exit the Animus (press  from Inventory), then re-enter the Animus and the fireflies should respawn.

Now head back to your settlement (Ravensthorpe) and go to the pond with the waterfall, to the right side of the Seer’s hut. Walk at the edge of the pond there and you’ll see a screen prompt come up that says “Release Firefly” ( :triangle: ). This will unlock the trophy. It only works if you actually caught a firefly and have it in your inventory.

Archaeologist
Complete all Roman collector challenges
First you must build the Museum at your settlement. Then talk to the guy at the Museum (called Octavian). Do the quest he gives you. Then collect all Roman Artifacts and bring them back to him.

Roman Artifacts are one type of the white “Artifacts” Collectibles. Because all Artifacts are required for 100% completion (Completionist All the Way! trophy), you will get them automatically while following the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Artifacts Guide.

Each additional skill point you earn after Level 400 becomes a Mastery Point. You spend them in the skill tree just like you did with normal skill points. Do this once to earn the trophy. Unlike normal skill points they won’t increase your level however (Level 400 is the Maximum).

Light the unlit braziers on Hadrian’s Wall

Hadrian’s Wall is at the northern edge of England. There are 10 Braziers alongside the wall. Throw a torch at them to light them (hold  to open weapon wheel and select torch at the top).

Refer to the video above for a walkthrough of the wall where to find all 10 braziers.

Complete all the flytings
Flytings  count as a sub-type of “Mysteries”. Because all Mysteries are required for 100% completion (Completionist All the Way! trophy), you will do them automatically while following the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Mysteries Guide. The only one you won’t get from Mysteries is a guy called “Alvis” who you can meet at your settlement. Make sure to actually win all the Flytings to make them count for the trophy.

Godly Reward
Obtain Thor’s Helmet

Step 1: Defeat the 3 Daughters of Lerion. See Daughters of Lerion Locations. Each of them gives you a dagger that you must enter on an underground statue. Do note that one of them is level 340, but on easy difficulty you can beat her at level 150 if you’re good at parrying.

Step 2: In East Anglia, enter the underground section shown below.

Step 3: Reach the end of this underground section. In the last room there’s a Lerion statue with 3 slits on its back. You must put in the daggers here that you got from defeating the 3 Daughters of Lerion. This makes the statue go away and reveals some stairs leading down to a Wealth Chest. In that chest is Thor’s Helmet.

Do the Ps4 and Ps5 versions share trophies?

    Reply
    • PowerPyx says

      November 9, 2020 at 2:18 pm

They are different trophy stacks. The same trophy requirements but you can earn a platinum with each.
Of course the PS4 version is backwards compatible so if you start playing it on PS4 you can still earn the remaining PS4 trophies on the PS5 (using the PS4 version of the game).
But if you buy the proper PS5 optimized version, it will be a different trophy stack (must get all trophies again – I don’t think the trophies would carry over in this case).

    • Roger Claymore says

      November 9, 2020 at 3:03 pm

But if you play the Ps4 version on the PS5 wouldn’t it automatically be the Ps5 version? Let’s say you download the PS4 version on the PS4, play a few hours, earn a few trophies, then buy the Ps5, then redownload the game on the Ps5 with the same account (and using save transfer), wouldn’t it automatically be the optimized version?

It would be a major downside if they don’t share the same trophies. It would suck, because if you earn a few trophies with the PS4 version, you would have to earn them again when you get the Ps5 version in order to get the platinum.

As of Patch 1.04, trophies earned on PS4 should sync with PS5.

Of course, nothing is ever seamless… I started the game on PS4 and when I picked up my save on the PS5 version of the game, most of the trophies I’d achieved on PS4 began auto-populating. But for some reason, nine of the trophies I finished on PS4 did NOT carry over. There seems to be some other players encountering this issue as well. I put in a support request with Ubisoft and am waiting for their response. But for now, I’d say tread carefully if you’re in a cross-gen situation and are worried about losing trophy progress.

Hi Power, how this will look in case of watch dogs and assasin with divided trophies? I already started legion and have few trophies. What will happend when i upgrade game to ps5? I will not have my first trophies from ps4? Will ps4 version stay unfinish? This same for assasins. Should i start it tommorow on ps4 or wait till 19/11?

I played both versions before the day one patch and after. Still tons of bugs with day one patch, they only broke some other stuff with it and game crashes more often. Don’t get your hopes up anytime soon, the game is so massive it will take them forever to find and fix all the hardcore bugs.

Hi Power. I haven’t commented before, I just wanna say I love what you do.
I was just wondering if you’re gonna finish the guide for this one? I notice several trophies are missing explanations, for example wielding Thor’s hammer. Now I acknowledge you’re obviously extremely busy what with so many titles coming out in such a short amount of time, but I was just curious if you’re gonna get around to it?
Also, the other two games I’m planning to platinum on PS4 are Sackboy and Spider-Man. Just clarifying, you’re gonna have trophy guides for both? Just to humor me, can you guess what difficulty both these titles will be?
Thanks for your time! Again, I love what you do mate.

Of course the guide will be finished soon =)
There are still some trophies I haven’t gotten (it’s a 200 hour+ project for me to figure it out and put it into guide form, so takes a while). The rest will be added over the next days, almost done. The only stuff that’s pending is endgame and people will need a few days to catch up, by that point the rest will be filled in.

And yes I can confirm ALL PS5 Launch Games will be getting full guides. That includes Miles Morales and Sackboy.
Some of them I’ll have ready right at US Launch on November 12th and the remaining launch games should be finished by November 19th in time for EU release. You can follow me on Twitter or Facebook, I always announce there when a new guide is up 🙂

They are really nicely varied and don’t get boring at all. They are actually some of the more entertaining completion related tasks I have seen. The 780 also includes World Events which are quick 3 minute quests, and stuff like defeating boss animals and solving puzzles. They all give useful rewards too, not just “go there, pick that up”. Similar to AC Origins.

    • Paris says

      November 10, 2020 at 4:37 am

Yes 780 collectibles sounds insanely tedious, but why let that determine for you whether the game is good or not? No reason to blame the developers. Just because they wanted to add an abundance of collectibles for the player to collect doesn’t mean they intended to “ruin the game”.

    • Dom says

      February 3, 2021 at 10:53 am

It sounds like a lot but it’s quickly done, they’re scattered about and your quests usually place you in their proximity. They give you good rewards as well so it’s been handled well.

Also, for Twinle Twinkle, the firefly still appears in that area after you’ve taken the mask (for me anyway)

    • JCL says

      August 18, 2021 at 3:54 pm

Collectibles should never be more than 200 or maybe 250 tops. Anything more than that takes the fun away and becomes a chore.

      Probably forever doomed.
I had 2 AC games with game breaking glitches where I could never get platinum: AC3 (the online puzzles never worked), AC Odyssey (my last cultist spawned under the map), and patches NEVER fixed these issues to this day.
In my personal experience with Ubisoft games, when a patch drops it only applies if you have a save before what triggered your bug occured. In my cases it never worked retroactively. Maybe things will be different for AC Valhalla, we will see. Odds are you will likely have to start a new game (be sure to keep manual saves as mentioned in the bug warning at the top of the guide).

Hey, I’m not sure if you’ve tried this already, but you need to bring more than one crate back to the man. I thought it was glitched for me as well and then I realised he wanted more than one crate. Try that out if you haven’t.

It glitched for me too. If it is the “you have to be anonymous” glitch, just fast travel away and then go back, pick the crate and follow the road instead of going right to the guy. That way I was able to hear the sound that the games make when you flee and then I could deliver the crate

I don’t know the mission count but there are 16 regions in England. You must pledge to all 16 and complete their stories (plus Norway at the start of the game).
So by looking at the Alliance Map at your settlement you can see how many regions you have done and how many you have left, that gives you an idea how much longer the story will take. Each region’s story is like 2-3 hours.

It’s not trophies being glitched, it’s the game itself being very buggy.

Many people are getting through it just fine. Some have many issues, some only minor glitches. It comes down to luck. Feel free to start the game, but just watch out that you make regular manual saves and do all collectibles in regions as you go through them (as described in the guide). If something glitches you can reload old save, and if that doesn’t fix it you can still wait for a patch.

I have heard that to minimise the bugs happening make sure you DO NOT START the game on patch 1.0 ad then update to 1.02, it seems this breaks a lot of things. It’s best to start a brand new game on 1.02.

For Silent Viking trophy there is a mission called “the great scattered army” which you should look for Soma ship, there will be a good chance to assassinate 10 enemies. Specially if you were wearing the cloak and its night.

Tip Overdesign II (PSNPROFILES by Dennis_135246)

I got it by going to Hamtunscire, the bottom left View Point (Its a town called Werham). I dropped my power level to 300 so that the enemies show as Red. I then rounded up 3 of the Standard Bearers in the town and whittled them down to nearly dead. Set myself on fire by standing in the fire left over from one of their fire bombs hitting me and finished them off one after another.

You dont have to kill all of them at once. Let the fire build up and then kill 1, build it up again and kill another. As long as you dont drop combat, are on fire when you kill 1 and eventually kill all 3 Standard Bearers, it should pop. I had my initial ignite drop after killing 2 and built it back up for the 3rd and still got it.

How did you get them to follow you? I was power level 270 and instead of chasing me, they kept backing off and throwing spears. I could never get them all close enough to where I could light myself on fire and kill them without at least one of them losing interest ever so briefly and pulling me out of combat, despite the fact that they were still chucking their spears at regular intervals.

I tried to kill 3-4 of them at once several times, but the trophy did not pop-up. So finally I killed one of them. Move to another village – kill another. Move back to the first village and after third separate kill the trophy pop-up…

You can still spare Leofrith and have the Zealots hunt you if you wait to do the “Hunted” quest he gives you to burn the contract on Eivor.

I completed both Grantebridgescire and then Ledecesterscire, he gave me the contract and then I returned to Raventhorpe where we get attacked. I completed “Hunted” after this and Eivor said “I am far too late, the Zealots will be hunting me now”.

I can confirm this. This also happened to me too. I psared Leofrith who told me about the letter but did not see the quest condition which says ” The parchment must be burned before the next dusk”. I was confused as to why Eivor kept saying time is running short. He must have been referring to the time I had left to burn the parchment.

After 6 regions you should definitely have that trophy.
Anybody else having issues to get it to pop? Do note that World Events are a subclass of Mystery (not every Mystery is a World Event, but every World Event counts as a Mystery). They are the “side quests”, so other blue icons like Cairns, Standing Stones, Fly Agarics etc don’t count.

I found a good spot for “Silent Viking”.

It is in the town of Oxeneforda in Oxenefordscire (all the way in the left-middle part of the province)

There is a church there with lots of guards. You can whistle them one at a time into your bush to murder them. More to the north there is a small chapel thing which is guarded by 3 guys. Go behind that. Whistle. One will come. Go into the roof and murder him. Then the rest.

A bit to the northeast (but still in the town) there are lots of field and patrolling guards. I found 2 groups of 4 there. Whistle. One will come, the rest will go further on patrol. Murder and then rinse and repeat.

I had the feeling the double assassinations didnt work (axe throwing) for the trophy. Just move your move stick a bit, then it disengages the lock on.

    Hope this helps.

    • PowerPyx says

      November 15, 2020 at 10:32 pm

      It’s for 2 reasons:
      – Game is absolutely massive and a time-consuming platinum. Let’s assume someone played 16h per day x 6 days = 96 hours. It’s not enough time for anyone to have gotten the platinum yet.
      – The game is extremely buggy. One bug and you’ll miss out on the 100% completion trophy. Which will likely happen to a lot of early adopters until Ubisoft fixes this game.

But someone should have platinum soon, in the next week I guess.

Also, one of my friend who also play this game, found something similar, he didnt get the trophy after spending a mastery point.

WE (both of us) also cannot get the 100% trophy…
Both of us, cannot get the Rygjafylke trasure hunt, because it is nor there.

During the “in dreams” quest in Asgard, the quest “freeze” and cannot be completed, i need to do it 3 times. I had to go back before enter Asgard, because its bugged twice…

Is the 120 hour time still an estimate that you expect to come down at all? I remember Origins and Odyssey being about a 50-60 hour run, and assuming this one is even larger it can expand on that a bit, but 120 might be too much for me. Is the time suck just due to the collectibles, meaning you could get everything else in less time? I haven’t started yet so I have no reference. I’m still trying to finish the last few trophies on Watchdogs (thanks for that guide as well).

    • PowerPyx says

      November 16, 2020 at 6:08 pm

The 120h estimate still rings true. That’s already the “speedrun” minimum time estimate if you skip all dialogue cutscenes. Will be longer for the majority of players. Odyssey did not require you to 100% the game and was like ~75% water. Valhalla requires 100% completion, is bigger and ~85% playable land mass.
Story if you skip dialogues / cutscenes = 40h, with cutscenes / dialogue it’s 60-70 hours. 100%ing each region (all 780 collectibles) is another 70-90h. Order of the Ancients another 5-10h depending on how lucky you get with the Zealot spawns. Then you still have all the Orlog and Fishing left which aren’t exactly quick either, few hours for that. Plus misc trophy cleanup and if you end up short on supplies for settlement level 6 you can spend another few hours looking for minor wealth chests.

Currently getting all regions to 100% is missable – one mystery in eurviscire requires 5 fabric and if you’ve by this point already upgraded your whole inventory to max you no longer get additional fabric from chests and cannot complete this mystery.

For me they spawned there every time. They definitely can spawn in other places too. But this spot worked for me 100% of the time and also for my friends who tested it.

I’m playing on the PS4, European version of the game. I even thought it might have been cause i already colected the artefact from there and in the video you didn’t do it befor catching the firefly. • PowerPyx says

Can confirm, it’s because you collected the Artifact already. The firefly stops spawning after that. Only way is to start a new game and go back there, or get lucky to find it somewhere else. The good thing is you reach England after like 2 hours if you skip cutscenes.

Hi Power… the idea that the fireflies do not spawn after the mask if collected is incorrect. I had already collected the mask long ago at the point just above Black Peak… but decided to go back and check anyway as I didn’t want to start a new game. Waited for night, stepped through the window and found a firefly right away. Have a video capture of it if you’d like. Latest patch on ps5.

    • PowerPyx says

It seems to no longer spawn for some players, but still spawns for others. Before grabbing the relic it seems to 100% spawn though, so that’s the safest bet.

For the barred doors for which you have to shoot the lock through an opening:
Use the dive of the valkyrie ability at the door . It will destroy the lock. You can bypass whole dungeons this way.

    For the flying papers:
    Use the blinding rush ability.
Time will slow down and the paper will not move, you can easily pick it up that way.

I just did the Overdesign II trophy. But I didn’t kill the soldiers in the same fight. As I accidentally killed one of them while not being on fire I had to find the fourth soldier near the viewpoint. The fight ended after killing the third one while not being on fire because there were no more enemies near me. But after I killed that fourth guy the trophy popped even though it was a different fight.

Before doing that I also tried killing them with a power high enough for them to not be red. That didn’t unlock the trophy so that confirms that the enemies must have a red skull.

Um I just got a really bad glitch on the mission ‘A Brother’s Keeper’ apparently it’s the final one but I literally can’t progress because of cutscene glitch that happens after the Odin encounter. After I run into the gate, the next cutscene that’s supposed to play doesn’t, I’ve tried reloading manual saves from before I even started the mission and the glitch still occurs. If they were to patch this glitch, would it reflect in my current save? I have done an insane amount of collecting and all I needed to finish the collectibles were Vinland and the postgame region which I can’t access until after I beat the game which I can’t. Does anyone maybe have a game save that has almost all collectibles? I really don’t want to have to do all this again.

I also was AFK for 3 hours and my fishes were glitched for 1 hour so technically it’s more around 91 hours.

I was very methodical with how I did things . First I did the collectibles in “rows” on the map. So from left to right for example. Then i did the main missions.

It was possible because of your guides. I used them constantly. Always had 3 tabs open with the mysteries, wealth and artifacts for if I got stuck.

I didnt skip cutscenes. Well, maybe technically. I read what they were saying and then skip to the next sentence. I dont have patience to listen to them speak for hours haha. But I didnt skip the “movie” cutscenes.

One amazing feutre is that you can know for sure if you caught the artifact of that place by looking in your in game map. If you caugth the artifact it will have a black X on that spot

I believe you can get the Zealots to hunt you even if you choose to spare Leofrith cause you can chose not to burn the scroll. Now this is just a hypothesis but the quest says something along the lines of “burn the scroll before the next dusk/dawn (don’t remember which of the two)” meaning there is a possibility you can fail to or chose not to burn the scroll on time and I think that would trigger the hunt for Eivor, haven’t tested this so I’m not one hundred percent sure, it’s more of a hunch to be honest. Another thing I’m not sure of is, the wealth southwest of Repton in Ledecesterscire might be buggy, either that or I’m just an idiot cause I can’t find it lol. Do you know If the Goliath at the location you suggested for the Flying Eivor trophy spawns? Cause I killed him and I clearly remember thinking “damn this would have been a good location to get the trophy” but I wasn’t familiar with the enemy archetypes then. I also think you can get the A Picture of Grace trophy using the Rush and Bash and/or Rage of Helheim abilities, this is also just another hunch cause I haven’t tried it too. Oh and great page dude, keep up the good work!

Just thought I’d leave a heads up on a pretty big bug that a lot of people have been running into. It seems that when you fully upgrade your ration pouch and quiver to max, the game no longer gives you fabric from any source, making it impossible to complete the offering shrine in Eurvicscire, thus making Completionist all the way! very much missable. I’d heavily recommend saving at least x5 fabric for that shrine instead of getting the last upgrade for either of your gear upgrades. AFAIK the devs have been aware of this issue for about a week now but we still don’t have a patch for it. This is all I have left for plat so I have to wait :/

    Hey Powerpyx,

I have been playing the game on ps4 for about 15h before upgrading to ps5. I know the trophies have a different list for each console but I was wondering if I transfer my save file and continue my progress, will I still be able to get the Completionist all the way trophy at the end? It makes sense in my head but just wanted to ask your opinion.

Congratulations on this guide, it’s really useful.

In your opinion, what is the minimum level required for considering going after the Daughters of Lerion and Lost Drengr?

since they are kinda like bosses, I assume doing all at once with correct gear skills and level will be a big time saver. Also, any recommended build?

I did the Lerion Daughters at about Level 170. Didn’t have any problems on easy difficulty. They’re doable on lower levels, might just take a few more tries. All about parrying the light attacks and dodging the red rune attacks.

I “cheated” (lol) and fought them on easy mode. 2 of the sisters are fairly easy and can be done at a relatively low level (on easy). However Cordelia is PL 340 and can be quite the challenge, but I still got her at PL 120. You just wanna avoid her attacks, seeing one hit from her can easily drain all your HP.
If you have it unlocked, Feast Buff will help as well.
And I would recommend “spamming” the Blizzard Axe ability every time you get the chance, and any weapons works in my opinion.:)

Thank you again for another in depth guide, amazing work! Will you update the guide when the game gets patches, like tomorrow patch 1.04? So to summarize for myself: I haven’t started it yet but to complete the story missions of a region and, before going to the next region, it’s best to collect all the collectibles (Wealth / Mysteries / Artefacts) of the region where you just completed the story missions. How do you know when you completed the story of a region? Does the game tell you this? Thanks!

    • Andre_Pisco says

      November 26, 2020 at 1:21 pm

So the story works like this:

You go to the Aliance Map on your Settlement and it will show the regions you have available to play their chapter at that moment. The ones you already did will have a crow statue, the others will have a knight, to represent you still have to do that chapter.
You choose one of the region’s and after hearing a bit of context, you get the pinpoint to start the region’s chapter. You will know the chapter of that region has ended cause Eivor, your character, will say that it’s time to go back to Randvi (the woman in the Alliance Map) and you will get a pinpoint to go back to your settlement.

My advice, as sson as you start a region, try to grab everything before starting the story, that way you can have the fun part after dealing with the “boring” one

      Hope it helped

NOTE: I posted this on other forums, reposting as it was:

So, I had East Anglia completed, but after the patch, as I hovered over the map I noticed there’s one wealth missing now and the “completion border” of the region is gone. Nothing showed on the map, and also the cartographer had nothing for East Anglia (since I had found them all).

I flew over East Anglia to find it, and it was an elite enemy drop (that I ofc had gotten before) in Dunwic, the cliff tower at the coast, southeast part of the region.

All other of my completed areas in England were fine (hadn’t cleared 5 areas so far, others were completed), so I traveled to the separate 4 maps to check (I had 100% them all except the northern Norway region).

Norway and the were ok, but in Vinland there’s one wealth missing now. It is an enemy drop too, but when I go to the camp (Hvallgrof Outpost, almost center of the map in the middle of 3 fast travel points “triangle”) all enemies are dead and haven’t respawned (it’s been about 40 hours after I’ve been in Vinland in game save time, cleared it and never returned). I can’t loot anything, but I can carry the dead body with the wealth, so the wealth icon moves around the map too. I don’t know what to do. RIP plat.

      November 26, 2020 at 6:47 pm

SOLVED (thanks to djunk101 from PSNPROFILES forums)

You can trap the body with R3 (tree ability), and explode it, then he respawns.

You have to leave the body where it is, don’t move it at all, or else the icon will move on the map and even if he respawns and you get the loot, the icon won’t go away and the wealth won’t tick. Also another enemy has to trigger for the body to be destroyed, you can’t do it yourself, arrows, exploding trap, jars etc won’t work.

I trapped, then lured one of the passing patrols in the camp. He exploded, then I went away to lose enemies, fast traveled to nearest point, went back, and the enemy had respawned. The icon was still fixed in one place, so I tried to kill him exactly where the icon was. When I looted, the wealth event ticked.

I confirm I have EXACTLY THE SAME problem: 2 new wealths, one lootable in east england and one bugged in dead corpse in vinland. I wonder if that one will be patched out as it’s tricker than adding fabric to the shop… GG.

    • Brainstef says

      November 27, 2020 at 12:57 am

Wait, the wealth is actually new?

In Vinland, after the patch I had 3/4 collected (even though previously I had them all). The wealth was showing as a dot on map in Hvallgrof Outpost , so I went there and the enmies were dead as I described.

With the trap explosion/respawn workaround explained in my 2nd post here, it’s now 4/4. I even traveled back to England and then back to Vinland to see if anything changes, still 4/4 now, with a region border, completed 100% etc. I hope I get the 100% trophy, there isn’t even a 5th box in Vinland wealth row.

    • PowerPyx says

      November 27, 2020 at 1:07 am

Yup the 1.04 patch added a 5th wealth box on Vinland for me.
Before it was definitely 4 only. When you go to the Vinland Wealth Guide and click the map screenshots you’ll see 4 progress bars (this was made on patch 1.02).
Now on patch 1.04 I have a 5th progress bar – Screenshot here.

If you don’t have a 5th progress bar after Patch 1.04, something is either buggy for you, or it’s buggy for me by showing me a 5th one.

    • Brainstef says

      November 27, 2020 at 1:25 am

First of all thanks for all your hard work man. I’ve been using your guides from PStrophies before you even made this site 🙂

In Vinland, there never was a 5th box for me. I had completed the area last week, and never returned. Today after the 1.04 patch, after noticing the one in East Anglia missing, I rechecked all areas I had completed, and only Vinland had 1 missing (3/4 for me).

In East Anglia the enemy was alive, so kill and loot completed the wealth, in Vinland whole camp was dead (bodies still there) and wealth was in one of them unlootable. I trapped/exploded/fast traveled/respawned, and by killing him on the spot the icon showed on gps bar, as I looted, the wealth ticked, and Vinland was 100% done, border and all.

Now, to give you more information, I reloaded a save I have just before travelling to Vinland. It’s about 60 hours “younger” than my current file lol. As I went to Vinland for the first time in that file, WITH 1.04 INSTALLED, the wealths are 4 as always. I don’t know what the bug is supposed to be, new wealth not showing, or undoing a previously collected 4th wealth?

    • PowerPyx says

      November 27, 2020 at 1:45 am

Thanks, found it. The new 5th wealth is updated in the Vinland Wealth Guide now.

Problem is I cleared out most of these areas and now I don’t know where to go for these types of trophies.

Do these enemies respawn in these areas or should I be doing these miscellaneous trophies first before clearing out the map.

I don’t think Raids are actually linked to the completion trophy (only wealth, mysteries, artifacts). Should be okay. If you happen to have a manual save / autosave before the raid, try reloading and redoing it just to be sure it goes away from the map.

I don’t think someone did post this information yet.

After some trial and error and experimenting with how the Save cloud works, I found out a way to get both PS4 and PS5 plat easily with one playthrough!

Let’s say you are playing the Game on Ps4 or Vice versa, try to create a manual Save just before every trophy you want to pop, now go the Load Menu, and delete every Autosave there. Then go the Skills menu, reset, and point and activate it again, this will turn auto save (you check it again in the load menu, P.S the playtime info on cloud save can be bugged, that’s not a problem). Now switch to the PS5 and load that same Cloud save to get that trophy there.

What I did is by playing the game on PS4 and created a manual Save set just before every trophy (20 manual saves is the max), and after reaching the max number of saves, I started switching back and forth from PS4 to PS5.

Now if you planning to get PS5 later and playing Valhalla now, you can note what each manual save is and store them in a USB memory stick.

    Hope this helps. :D (Y)

Tip on silent viking: if you do this on an open road with soldiers passing by – you can even save between kills – and can easily get the count up to ten. Often, soldiers spawn at the same place. So what I did:
    Hide in a bush
    Save
Kill the solider(s) without getting detected
Save while in the bush again
    Reload that very same save
The soldiers are back – killed them again
    Saved
    Reloaded… and so on!

I have a save 30 minutes before this quest. Maybe load that one in another language and try to beat the mission again and making a manual save just before the start of this mission “Defensive Measures”?

I killed Leofrith and the Zealots will not hunt me. I literally have to be within 2m of them for them to become agro. I even killed a bunch of enemies on a main rode and a Zeolot just rode by on his horse as I slaughtered them. Do I need to do anything else to make them hunt me?

I had the same behavior… luckily they seem extremely easy to track down as you start picking up collectibles. I think you could track any of them from the map as long as they aren’t under fog. You don’t see their names until you get close, but can still see them on the map.

Just an FYI in response to PowerPyx, Fabric still stopped spawning in my game from chests, but I have JUST enough to fully upgrade my quiver/rations and have exactly 5 leftover for the shrine.

Also, apparently you can buy them from a level 6 settlement according to Ubisoft in an update, but I am still like 5-1/2 so I personally can’t confirm.

Of the rest I did not have any other bug. Good luck to everyone!

You can typically find a firefly in the ruins in the trees north of the Black Peak fast travel point (just east from Wandrie and Meldburne) in Grantebridgescire. Hop through the ruined building window at night and you should find a firefly inside. Credit to attackofthefanboy’s site, which is where I read this and it worked for me first try.

******PEOPLE THAT ARE HAVING TROUBLE WITH OVERDESIGN 2 trophy ****** Okay I’ll explain how I did it and I told many ppl about my way and it has worked for them aswell… **Go to the werham it’s the the bottom left corner of the map in English. Before you can get the trophy you need your skill level to be 40 less skill then the town of werham so the town is 340 skill power you want 300. I personally went down to 230 skill but it doesn’t matter as long as you have a red skull beside the emery’s health bar you’re good *** noted make sure it’s a red skull not a dot. once you’re in the town of werham you want to kill the bearers, those are the big guys holding the flag. At the entrance of werham there are 2 and facing the entrance there is another to the left by the farm animals . Find a good roof you can camp on and light on fire and kill them on, I used the roof just past the entrance with the bales of hay under it. Don’t use the one by the entrance cause the roof won’t light. Once you’re killing the bearers make sure you have a red flame circle above your health bar, make sure that flame circle ⭕️ never runs out, it won’t if you stay on the burning roof. ** easy way to kill bearers I used, have the skill missile reversal on and you can throw back the bearers projectiles, makes life so much easier. Okay once you kill all 3 bearers, there iseven a four bearer at the back of werham too, kill it to just to be safe. After that get to a good safe place and fast travel to a town with another bearer. I use colcestre it’s in essexe, kinda on the bottom right of the map. Once fast traveled there jump down the the hay stack and there should be a bearer by you if you look around. Lit the hay stack u jump down on and kill the bearer. The trophy ? should pop. This is the only way it could work for me so I hope it help you

An easier way to get the Overdesign II achievement.

You need 3 adrenaline slots and the blinding rush ability

Is do as the video shows, but once your on fire, use blinding rush (costing 1 adrenaline) make sure u set yourself on fire fully (so that the little red circle gets a timer) it freezes time and ur burning countdown, now run behind the guard and stab him to death.

Rinse and repeat with each guard. It’s much easier as with the bows there’s a chance either the fire gets the kill or burns another guard.

Use Missile Reversal against the shield bearers in Overdesign II.

It does massive damage to them. Just stand far away from them next to a hay bale or on a hay roof. They’ll keep throwing spears at you and you can throw them back with L1. This game is very lenient with the ‘parry’ window, and missile reversal will take out like 75% of their health. Up to you if you wanna soften them up first or just keep throwing their spears back.

I know this will be an absurd request but it would be a massive undertaking to create a guide for all the non-important wealth locations (the smaller yellow points on the map). IMO, those chests usually have puzzles that are more challenging to solve than the Ingot/Armor/Book of Knowledge wealth chests since they are always locked behind something or hidden underground.

For example, there was one treasure chest locked inside a tiny little room blocked by a waterwheel so I couldn’t get inside. With no windows, I had no idea how to open the door until I noticed that the floor in front of the door had black oil. So I lit my arrow on fire, aimed it at the oil and BOOM it exploded the jars behind the door!

Power, I would make a tweak to the missable collectibles in Jotunheim.

You should state that “once you enter Skrymir’s Mitten, you cannot reenter, so DO NOT go in unless you’re doing the quest, and make sure you get the collectibles while you’re there.”

Following your guide, I avoided missions in Jotunheim and just casually collected things. Ended up being underleveled, “Woke Up” from the Jotunheim dream while I was in Skrymir’s Mitten, and now I’m locked out. I can’t get the collectibles OR do the mission.

Technically, the Jotunheim Arc trophy is missable for this reason.

Ubi has acknowledged this as a bug but worth mentioning until it’s fixed.

Ok, Overdesign 2 is bugged to shit. I have been at it for 2 hours, scouring every tip on these comments and elsewhere. Nothing works. I’ve done it perfectly many times and it still won’t pop. WTF IS GOING ON?

    1) I make sure I am fully on fire before I kill them. The “burning” icon is fully highlighted with the ring around it counting down before the fire wears off.

    2) I have tried standing on roofs like people said to always stay on fire, it works, but no matter how many times I do it the trophy doesn’t pop.

    3) I get 3-4 of them low, and then use the ability to shoot through shields to kill them while on the roof. I also tried blinding rush like someone suggested. They go down well enough, but again no trophy ever pops.

I don’t know what else to do. I’ve tried killing them without the ability, using melee, killing 4 of them even, nothing works. I never leave combat, and I was careful enough to even make sure all 3 of them were close and attacking at times before killing them. It just never works. This is my last trophy and I am at my wits end.

I FINALLY GOT IT. It is definitely buggy though. What I did:

      1) Killed the 3 in Werham while on fire. Best method is standing on a burning roof and using the missle reversal, for me it almost one shot them.

      2) Then I traveled to Fearnhamme and killed the single shield-bearer there. I light a nearby awning on fire and used the same method, for some reason right after killing this one shield-bearer, the trophy popped for me.

I was confused because on the main screen it says Patch Notes 1.1.0.
This is the version of the game assigned by developer, in official blog they also provide patch notes where they list all the stuff they fixed.

    *SPOILER AHEAD*

    GLITCHED TROPHY

Hi! I ran into a trophy glitch that I haven’t seen described yet. I’m on the PS5 version. After killing all order members and zealots, I was given the quest “The Poor Fellow Soldier” by Hytham in Raventhorp. After travelling to the destination and talking to King Aelfred to reveal the last order member, the trophy “Disorder of the ancients” did not pop. I had already finished all story missions, and I have the “England Pacified” trophy.

I noticed that I couldn’t fast travel right after the mission, and leaving the little town, a special music theme played. I ended up riding a bit, and when the music stopped Eivor suddenly mentioned “I should talk to Hytham”. I then fast traveled to Ravensthorp again, talked to Hytham and received Thor’s cloak. At no point did the trophy pop.

From what I can tell from watching videos, the trophy should pop right after the conversation with King Alfread.

    I tried:
    – Reloading a save from right before the cutscene where you meat King Alfread in “The poor fellow soldier”.
    – Rebooting the PS5 and restarting the game.
    – Manually syncing trophies.

My last save before that specific mission is a bit back in time and requires me to kill another zealot and some more order members. I haven’t tried reloading that save yet. Any tips on how to make the trophy pop? How far back should I reload?

    • Sprucemoose says

      December 30, 2020 at 11:37 am

Somehow, the issue corrected itself. On my fourth or fifth try, I let Eivor just stand still after the cutscene with King Alfread. In the time I used to type the above comment, the trophy was visible in the PS5 list.

Now, the time-stamp of the trophy matches the time I completed the mission the first time. This leads me to believe that I just didn’t notice the trophy pop-up and that a PS5 delay (slightly above 1 hour) caused the trophy to not be visible. If anybody else has the same problem, I would first try to redo the mission, if the trophy doesn’t pop after the cut-scene, let Eivor just stand there and wait a while. Check the trophy list from time to time.

The biggest bugs have been fixed by now. Relatively safe to play through this now. Especially the bugs tied to collectibles have been fixed, which was the most important point for us trophy hunters.
The PS4 and PS5 versions use the same patch data (it’s just called version 2.00 on PS4 for some reason and 1.1.0 on PS5 but they are the same patch). If you have a PS5 then of course play the PS5 version because it looks better and loads faster.

For me it is still very buggy (1.1.0 on PS4): crashes every 3 hours of game, possible bugs which prevents the main story, several bugs with mysteries. Over 120hours of play and no chance to get platinium trophy because of buggy mysteries. For me this game brings a lot of frustration: I won’t buy a season pass (like I did with previous AC games) and rather I won’t buy next AC game: overall quality was far below my expectations.

I think the settlement level 6 is bugged. Finished the story, upgraded all building, did the wedding, and the meter is just a sliver left on the bar. Am I missing something?

Managed to get the platinum in 130h! Thank you for this extremely detailed guide. Here are some tips that I wish I had read before:

1 – wealth treasures that are not in chests (you have to kill an enemy) are extremely buggy. The item is collected but it does not count on the map as collected. The game auto-save right before you enter any camp. Pay attention if you see the message on-screen saying wealth collected after killing them. If not, load the auto-save immediately.

2 – you can easily kill the third leorion daughter in lvl 50. Just parry and
    Rage of Helheim youtu.be/v42tJTpClmc

3 – follow the region quests first, and before returning to randvi, collect everything: there are places in the regions that are only accessible during/after some quests. Collecting everything as you go is better, you lvl up a lot and never have to face a red region.

4 – use bliding rush to collect the artifacts papers.

5 – pausing the game right before hitting the ground when jumping avoid fall damage

6 – spamming the L1/LT button helps parry if you are having difficulties.

7 – collect all small chests in hamtunscire: 160+ of metal and leather each! You will be able to upgrade every weapon/armor that you want.

8 – doing flytings as soon as possible really helps in some parts of the game, avoiding unnecessary fights.

    Hi Power,
I’ve encountered what I think is a major glitch. When I play an Assassins Creed game I bounce around from quest to roaming to collecting, but always get back to the quests.
I am still unable to get the Poor Fellows soldier to come up in my quest log, therefore impeding my ability to complete the game. Not the Completionist all the way trophy. Just complete the game. I figured that Hytham’s final quest wasn’t coming up because I didn’t have all the 6 codex pages. So I completed that task this morning. It did not. Do I need to complete all areas for this quest to show up. I am still missing some wealth, artifacts and mysteries in the locations, but I can’t see that being an issue.
The only quest I have in my quest log is the one from Reba with the contracts and I can’t see that being it, but I will try it.
Any suggestions or is this a glitch that will be fixed with one of the updates?
PS. Your guides and roadmaps have helped though the years!

    *IMPORTANT*
You need to marked “Disorder of the Ancients” trophy as glitched.

It seems if you hand in the badges from killing the 44 order members/zealots before doing Winchester , you get the Poor Little Soldier mission prematurely, I think. It means the final order member, The Father, is never revealed (despite being talked about in a subsequent conversation with Haytham).

This is still a problem with latest update 2.10. I have no way to earn this trophy nor the platinum until Ubisoft fixes it. And I’ve spent 140+ hours on this game.

Please urge your readers to do a save before handing in the last of the order medallions to Haytham.

Can you list the firefly one as missable please?
After spending many many many many hours doing collectibles only to realise that the firefly won’t spawn if I’ve already got the artifact nearby… not a chance I’m starting a new game for that!

It’s not technically missable, you can find fireflies all over the place. Just this one fixed spawn can potentially go away for some players (for others it still spawns after collecting the artifact). But you can definitely find more fireflies in other places, not missable.

Probably the most time I have ever committed to a platinum by double but your guide made it seem trivial, just time consuming. Thanks so much.

For the Twinkle Twinkle trophy, if you already have the roman artifact you can still catch a firefly from that location. Go back to the location, but then leave the animus (inventory and then up on the D pad) and then re-enter the animus, fireflies will now reappear.

For the Oversight trophy, it doesn’t have to be the standard-bearers shown in the video, I killed two of the bearers and a random soldier with a shield. As long as the enemy has a shield and you follow the trophy requirements you should be fine. I got my trophy at the same spot shown in the video my power level was only 209.

In theory you shouldn’t have to kill Leofrith to get the zealots after you, merely he tells you where to intercept the contract, so you could just casually ignore him like a true Drengr warrior, maybe say something awesome like “Meh, they will need extra zeal to come at me, bro…”

Personally I got stuck on a single Wealth, the one in a Pict camp in Eurvicscire, by story we take the camp and they don’t come back, one of the Elites has Wealth, if you don’t loot his corpse you may lose it, not sure if there’s a fix.

Hello, need some help with the Full Mastery trophy. I’m currently level 409. But I don’t get mastery points, only skill points. I can’t select Eye of the North, Cold Rage and Intense Rage. I don’t have the dlc and I’m on 80% of the story. Can someone tell me how to get the missing skills and/or to get the mystery points? I already reset all skills.

I saw some comments that potentially it might now be either missable (or unobtainable?) without buying DLC due to requiring a fully maxed skill tree which now has way more skills. I need to look into that further – this could indeed be an issue.

Finally Platted the game with 107H on the save (including 2-3 hours of idle time) inlcuding all the DLC druid/paris/challenge/tomb.

Did it on easy with speedreading. No boosters needed.

Ended with Power level 565. Did not grind for lvl 6 settlement.

Could be done within 100H, I had some bad luck with the challenges DLC. I was too high level so I 1 hitted every NPC, needed to find the sweet spot/level for doing them.

But man there are definitely too much collectibles in this game, they should lower it at least by 1/3.

Played mostly on patch 1.4, no noteable game breaking bugs.

    Ragnarok is next 🙂

Just want to info everybody to make sure they’re aware of it that autopop trophies from PS4 to PS5 is currently bugged at the moment. If you got platinum trophy on PS4 version and bought the save progression to PS5 version and it doesn’t autopop trophies right away, there a workaround this is by doing a contract quest from Reda and complete it and it’ll pop most trophies right away, but not all trophies will pop. Check what trophies that it didn’t pop, do these actions to get that trophy pop again. In my case, the trophy didn’t pop that I did fish all types of fishes; all I had to do is fish up 1 fish to pop the trophy. Another trophy like Excalibur and Mjolnir, you need to equip that to pop the trophy. But there’s one trophy is bugged and didn’t autopop is Rampage which it pops for completing the first raid in England; but however I did cleared all raids in England though. But will try to check and do River Raids to see if it works as a workaround or not, I’ll get back to this soon.

@Konan I just picked up playing AC Valhalla again to continue and finish off the DLC story and trophies. So for the Rampage trophy, it still hasn’t been fixed yet sadly, so I had to start a new game to speedrun until I could do the first raid in England. I got the trophy out of the way and double platinumed it right there.

    – 175h to platinum (6 months most likely)
    – 280h to make 100% of all DLC’s and mastery guides

This game was really wonderful, glad to have played it…never seen a game so rich as this one…really amazing

Couple of things for anyone having trouble…

For the [Home Sweet Home] trophy if anyone finds themselves needed supplies you should be able to buy 10000 at the trader in the settlement.

For [Skadi’s Hobby] if the trophy doesn’t pop after you’ve completed the slide climb back up and manually save your game. Quit to the title menu then close the game. Load the save and start the slide again. The trophy should pop during that second slide.

For [Equine Attack] my trophy didn’t pop until I performed the assassination on an actual enemy in of a dummy.

For [Row Rage] lower your difficulty to Story that way your boat is less likely to drop sail or fail to sink the boat.
